This oceanfront home in Rodanthe is situated right on the beach with panoramic views of the Atlantic. Ocean Crest is equipped with an elevator, ideal for guests with mobility needs. Use it to send luggage and groceries up and down for a hassle-free check-in and check-out. A spacious east-facing sun deck that spans the width of the home is equipped with a hot tub, where you can take a relaxing soak while enjoying the salty ocean breezes. In addition to having the beach as your backyard, this pet-friendly home includes a fabulous outdoor recreation space that can double as a dog run for your furry friends. From there, you'll have effortless access to the beach where you can spend the day swimming, surfing, fishing or shelling - the possibilities for around-the-clock oceanfront fun are endless.

Back at the house, the open-concept layout in the great room allows everyone to admire the unobstructed ocean views. Upgrades include vaulted ceilings, a cozy gas fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the view. French doors lead to a rec room located right off the main living area, furnished with a pool table for some friendly competition and indoor entertainment. The chef in your group will appreciate the well-equipped kitchen with island for plenty of prep space. Gorgeous hardwood floors flow throughout the top level, including the primary bedroom. This ocean-facing retreat includes a beautifully remodeled bath where you can pamper yourself with a spa-like experience.

The mid-level consists of four more bedrooms, two of which are ensuite making Ocean Crest the ideal choice for multiple or extended families. All four bedrooms on this level offer an ocean view along with deck access, so you can wake up to the sunrise and fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. Downstairs, you'll find the sixth bedroom, a full bath and an additional full-sized fridge for storing extra groceries or the catch of the day.

Situated at the east end of Shore Drive, Ocean Crest offers a central location where you'll be just minutes from the very best Rodanthe has to offer. This quaint coastal village is the ideal setting for a laid back, slower-paced vacation while still having conveniences and dining options nearby. If you need a break from the beach, take a trip back in time at the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Museum. Reel in the catch of the day from the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier, or enjoy the other side of the island with a variety of watersport activities in the Pamlico Sound.

Please note that the daily effects of winds, waves, tides and storms have contributed to coastal erosion impacts at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, particularly adjacent to the villages of Rodanthe and Buxton. The effects of erosion in these towns result in dynamic and unpredictable changes to the dune line, which may unexpectedly affect beach access. Guests may need to utilize alternate beach access points during their stay.

The property was beautiful. Unfortunately, the realty company could not get the owner to agree to plow the sand from the driveway. Our car was totaled by the ocean water inundation. We had to leave two days earlier than we paid for....
