"The hotel is beautifully located on a mountain with lots of forest. The staff was friendly, the room well equipped (although a minibar fridge would have been nice), and we liked the breakfast buffet. Actually, everything could have been perfect, if it wasn't for the incredibly noisy room. When people walked on the same floor, or even worse, on the top floor, it sounded like somebody was walking on high heels on a metal catwalk right through our room. With the non-existent soundproofing, it was impossible to relax/sleep. I really hope they get this fixed, because otherwise it's a great place to stay at."

"Stunning property with beautiful views. Very quiet area! House was very clean and the garden was beautiful . We did not have a car , but Diego helped us communicate with the local taxi service. Taxi took us into the town of Barga when we needed and picked us up ! Diego was also very quick to respond and willing to help out with anything we needed . Great experience. Thank you !"

"My spouse and I held our wedding here and it was beyond perfect. We are from the states and had a group of 20 join us for the weekend of our wedding. The villa was more perfect than we all imagined! The owners were very friendly and Marie the coordinator was amazing. Our wedding dinner was made by the owner and it was so delicious. I couldn’t recommend this property more- we can’t wait to go back one day."

"We stayed here for one week , from September 9th-16th. When we arrived the owner greeted us, as we were slightly early. He was extremely helpful and the property/views were truly amazing. We could not fault our stay at this property, the weather also helped as it was sunny and warm everyday. Well worth a visit. Locally there are restaurants with amazing food, the owner has a list of recommendations. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant Il Pozzo in one of the local towns"

"Paolo’s property was perfect for me and my family. It is clean, spacious and very well presented. It is a perfect location for exploring the Garfagnana region and close to plenty of local amenities. "I looked carefully for a spacious rural property with the right combination of rooms for a group of friends, walking distance from a small town as we didn’t have a car, this was exactly what I wanted. A peaceful and beautiful rustic house a short walk from delightful Barga with shops, restaurants and art galleries. Thank you, it was the perfect spot to relax for a few days."

"Lovely property near bagno di Lucca. Situated high on a hillside in a beautiful setting with breath taking views. A really authentic old villa with period furnishings. A nice garden and a small but very clean pool to cool off in. You definitely would benefit from a hire car. We visited Florence and Pisa - both an hour and a half drive and also Marinello for Ferrari - a 2 1/2 hour drive through the hills. We really had the most amazing stay and really enjoyed this stunning location."
