Owner met me at the appointed time, explained all the pertinent information, gave me instruction on accessing breakfast options and more importantly, how to make coffee. Ricardo and Perla are the owners, Riccardo’s English is limited, but Perla’s is excellent. The important information got delivered. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. The terrace is large and funky with lots of plants, and seating options. The location is a block from the beach with lots of choices for dining and shopping. I would stay there again and highly recommend!

Beauty by the beach

Beautiful homey feeling that overlooked the square and was right across the street for the beach. Loved how it was decorated. The woman running the place was friendly and helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend it.

This is a very special place very good settelt in the hart of Lido Ostia the views are excellent the location is the best. A Perfect Stay at Barocchetto Romano – 10/10! My stay at Barocchetto Romano was absolutely wonderful! This charming bed and breakfast is in the perfect location, just 12 minutes door to door from FCO airport, and yet it feels like a peaceful escape. The owners were exceptional, communicating promptly and graciously answering every question we had. The property itself is lovely and just a two-minute walk from the pier, where I experienced one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen. The nightlife in the area was vibrant, and the restaurants right downstairs served some of the best food I had in Rome. I can’t recommend Barocchetto Romano enough. It was comfortable, welcoming, and in the perfect spot for exploring. 10/10, I would definitely book this location again!

Great views, feels like home, amazing location!

It was great to stay here. Location was amazing. It was mosquitoes season the only thing that didn't like but if you are close to the ocean, it very common. Ricardo makes the best breakfast and Pilar is a great host who resolves everything in 3 seconds. They were very inviting and I was delighted to stay there.

Loved our stay at Barocchetto Romano. It was easy to arrange an additional airport transfer via car through the owner. The property was in a perfect location and had a beautiful balcony area. Breakfast was amazing as well. The owners are super kind and very responsive. Highly recommend!

When we first opened the door, the stairs were daunting but after getting our heavy bags up to the room level, all was good, very good. Our room was a quite comfortable and our bathroom, while private was down the hall. Breakfast was wonderful and is seven indoors when chilly and outdoors when warm. There is a large purpose living space overlooking a pedestrian area. The recreations and shops all around. You are one block from the water and the beach. A great place to stay and close to FCO.

I liked the property and the staff. Perla was very helpful and gave good suggestions. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping area right there. The only problem I had was with the bathroom that was outside of the room and we had to cross the living room to get access. The description said we had a "private bathroom " which I thought was joined with our bedroom. But we were the only one using it and we had a key and it was cleaned and supplied with fresh towels every day, so we managed.

We stayed at the Barocchetto Romano after our cruise, and before going to the airport for a flight back home. This was a perfect place to close off our vacation. First, the location is wonderful. Moments from the beach, surrounded by restaurants and shopping, all in a pedestrian area (so no cars passing by our building!). Our hosts were charming, and very accommodating. We arrived early, and they were kind enough to let us drop off our bags so we could explore the neighbourhood – this may not always be an option, but ask, they do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The unit itself is reached by stairs. They have a secure door at the bottom of the stairs, as well as one at the top – we appreciated this sense of security, although the neighbourhood is so nice I don’t see any need for concern. Once through the door at the top of the stairs you come to a marvelous terrace, with lots of seating, and even an ocean view. When we weren’t out exploring, or sleeping, we spent much of our time up there with a glass of wine, and meeting some wonderful guests staying in another room. There is a well equipped kitchen, with lots of treats available (nominal cost). They had a great coffee machine, and served a fantastic breakfast. The décor is very charming, and you feel at home rather than feeling you are in a hotel. I would not hesitate to stay again; fantastic hosts, excellent location near the beach and the airport, and perfect place to just unwind. Highly recommended A
