Overall, a very good experience. Check in was easy. Not too hard to find. We walked from the train station which was only about 15 - 20 mins. The place is on the 3rd floor, which for US citizens is really the 4th floor, so expect to walk up a lot of steps. The building is very old as was the apartment. There is no elevator. Plenty of space within the unit. Small but functional kitchen, seatig area, bedroom, bathroom. Everything we needed was provided. Washing machine (but like most places over there, no dryer). We didn't use the heat or AC so can't comment on that. Good location except that it was on a very busy street and was pretty noisy with the windows open day or night. With the windows closed, it was fine. Bed was comfortable. TV had good movies and could get in English. It had a bar (coffee shop) and a couple restaurants right under the place which were very convenient. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as high end shopping near the Spanish Steps. Small mini-mart was about a 5 minute walk. Big sites like the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain were all a 15 min walk or so. Not bad. We took a bus to the Vatican. Bus system is flaky at best but you can load an App that helps with the schedule...sort of. Rome overall is packed with people, everywhere, so be ready for that. Streets are narrow, sidewalks are really narrow and traffic is constant. It is a fun place to explore though. This apartment was a good place to stay for our 3 nights there.
