They need to improve the customer service. Little things will make it perfect. One night having trouble with the internet and one of the lights did not turne off, it made very uncomfortable for me to fall sleep

I have worked in the service industry, and I seldom leave a harsh review, however, I was quite disappointed with our stay at Mood 44 as the room what not as advertised, and there was no service. We booked a room with a king and double bed, and instead we got two singles pushed together and a pull-out couch. The pull-out couch mattress was old, worn and you could feel the springs in your back. The hotel was in a good location, but if you are looking to spend 500 Euro/Night on a hotel in Rome, spend your money elsewhere.

Recommend

This is a satellite hotel of Hotel Campo de’ Fiori, so there is no reception staff on site, but they are available through email and WhatsApp, and they are very responsive to any request. Our bath water was lukewarm on arrival; they fixed it the next morning. Our unit had a lovely soaking bathtub that was perfect after 20k steps, but other units have only a shower. The beds are extra firm; I have a sleep number bed set at 65 and this was firmer than that. I was counting on doing laundry, but there is no self-service laundry on site. There is a service a few doors down, open 8-5, which did not work with our touring plan. Otherwise, everything was clean and in good working order, and we had a very pleasant stay. There are plenty of food options in the immediate area, and the Colosseum and the Vatican are each about a mile away, in opposite directions. The Trevi fountain is about an 8-minute stroll. I would email the hotel after booking so they have direct communication with you. Hotels.com did not coordinate that well. I liked this hotel.

Frustrating Arrival, No Staff, Poor Communication We had a difficult experience at Mood 44. We arranged a shuttle through the hotel, but their payment system didn’t work, and we didn’t have €200 in cash as we were mid flight when we were notified about the technical issue. When we arrived, we were stuck outside in a busy, dangerous alley with no staff present. We rang the outside bell for 15 minutes before housekeeping happened to let us in. They had no idea who we were. After several phone calls and another 15 minutes we finally received our room keys in envelopes. The elevator fits only two people, so getting our family and luggage to the 4th floor took multiple trips. The rooms were clean and nicely styled, but the bathrooms had no privacy. The glass doors and a large glass window looked directly into the bedroom, which was very uncomfortable—especially with kids. Beds were not very comfortable and pillows were flat. The location is central, but the entrance opens into a blind alley with fast traffic—cars, scooters, and trucks flying by with little warning. It felt unsafe. Communication was also poor—we asked for the WiFi code on Tuesday, followed up on Wednesday, and finally got it on Thursday. If you want a completely self-service hotel in a central area, this might work. But if you expect any staff support or a sense of safety and comfort, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

We stayed in Rome for one night only. Suites are perfect for larger family, right in the middle of the Rome, few minutes walk to all the attractions, shopping and great restaurants. Owner arranged for us transportation to airport as well. Easy and convenient.
