What an amazing neighborhood, culture, experience. We loved every minute of it and the location could not have been better.

Overwhelming cleaning chemical smell that lasted during the stay. Sheets were old, couches were old and dirty. I asked for a spare set of sheets to cover the couches so we could sit…they said it would be $50 fee (bizarre!). Photos make the place look nicer than it is. Poor quality stay but nice location.

Trastevere is an interesting neighborhood in Rome. It’s very bohemian with graffiti galore and narrow cobblestoned streets. At night, the streets come alive with live music performances, packed cafes, restaurants and piazzas. This apartment is on the 4th floor of a walk-up. The apartment was spacious and clean, with a washer/dryer and all the necessary appointments. Everything was close by and walkable or a short taxi ride away. Host was wonderful - responsive and welcoming! Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful city!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment in a great location in Trastevere. As a warning to future guests, this apartment was broken into on our first night while we were out. The managers of the accomodation were very responsible and very helpful - Federico immediately came over and arranged for the lock to be fixed, and Emiliano was incredibly generous with his time as we needed help to communicate with Italian police. Just be aware that this apartment is known as a tourist residence, and protect your belongings accordingly. I would stay here again, I just wouldn’t leave my passport in the apartment next time!

Trastevere is our favorite neighborhood in Rome! We've stayed elsewhere before and wasted a lot of time continuing to come back here. Convenient to all you want to do in Rome, but more so in the charming neighborhood of Trastevere, where you can truly feel like one of the locals and are spoiled with plenty of lovely restaurants, bars and shops. Even the beautiful church in the adjourning square. Personally, Trastevere reminds me of the West Village of Manhatton, where I have lived. A small, utterly charming neighborhood among the big city. The apartment provides for plenty of space and amenities for a family. We traveled as two adults and two teen boys. We loved opening all the windows and looking out into the square at all the activity, sights and sounds...and smells of coffee and beautiful Italian food. We loved the robes and slippers. And the management company was very helpful, including organizing our transfer from the airport. I would highly recommend this property to anyone okay with steps...we saw them as a welcome way to eat more gelato! But if you don't like steps, Italy in general is not for you anyway.

Ample space for a family of four. The property is located in the heart of Trastevere, with about a 30 min walk to the Vatican, the Colosseum, or Piazza Navona (where most tours meet). There are numerous restaurant options within 5 minutes from the building. The only improves to the property would be the shower size in the master bathroom (imagine showering in a submarine). And be prepared to climb 66 stairs to get to the apartment. The booking staff (Simona) was great and arranged transportation to and from the airport for us. We enjoyed our time at this property and would come back again.

Great location - easily accessible to streets of restaurants of every type. A real buzz in evening. Although in a very busy and noisy area closing the windows blocked out sound. Apartment was very spacious with comfortable beds, good showers. Was the perfect choice for a proper city break. All the sights easily accessible by walking

First let’s get the initial impression behind us; the apartment is in a 200+ year old building with lots of graffiti, an entrance that reminds of a minimum security prison and a climb up four sets of steep stone stairs. But open the front door you find yourself in an amazing space, large and light filled, with three lovely bedrooms, two modern baths, full kitchen, large living area and 20 ft beamed ceilings. The area around the flat is lively and full of bars, restaurants, shops and in the evening…noise. A pair of earplugs served my wife well but I got used to the rhythms of the city and rolled with it. Support from rental company was excellent and the greeter was friendly and helpful. If you want the energy of the Trastevere neighborhood this is for you! (Minor issues; kitchen could use a couple of “hot pads” and a new corkscrew.) Finally, Don’t bring heavy luggage to this venue without a couple of teenagers.

We were very impressed with this spacious and clean apartment in Trastevere, Rome. Our family of four, 2 adults and 2 teens stayed here for four nights at the end of a 2 week trip to Italy. Our master bedroom was spacious and each teen had their own room as we made up the office pull-out couch for our son in there. All the rooms were clean, large, lovely bedding with lots of extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobes. The bathrooms were also clean, with excellent water pressure and hot water. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we needed make meals (although we ate out most of the time at the many AMAZING restaurants all within 2-8 minutes from out place). Yes, a little loud in the evenings and I took advice of the other reviews and brought earplugs and these worked well and I didn't even need them by night three. The apartment is 5 stories up so a bit of a slog to get our luggage up but we had huge suitcases so that was our fault! Otherwise I appreciated the climb up a few times a day however I would not recommend to anyone with walking or stair issues as there is no elevator to take. My only complaint was that it was very hot (August in Rome reaches mid 30 degree Celsius) and if we turned five of the six air conditioners on the power in the apartment went out. There are 6 air conditioners in the apartment: 2 in the living room, one in the kitchen and one in each bedroom. It was so hot that we needed our bedroom ACs on but lived without the living room and kitchen ones on so we could use the lights and TV. If we had four AC units on we didn't use the TV and only used one or two small lights. We kept the shutters closed so the place wouldn't heat up during the day, so it was a bit dark in there as a result. I think that if you are in this apartment anytime outside of July/August you would be fine as you may not be so desperate to have the AC units on, but during the summer months, just know that you have to be frugal with the electrical situation if you want 4 AC units on. We learned this quite quickly and it did not affect our overall stay once we got use to it. But I would have liked to have known that before I stayed as we were worried the first night that it wouldn't be cool enough in our rooms...but it was, and the AC units work very well. The manager of the property was quick to get back to me when I called that first day and this was much appreciated. We loved our stay! Grazie!!!

My family of 4 was visiting from the U.S. to see my daughter in Roma. Apartment was is a great location in Trastevere. Many places to eat and lots of activity. Centrally located in Rome. Near Tram and buses also easy to get a mytaxi (like Uber). We walked to many locations. Great restaurants too. Apartment very clean with comfortable beds. In the evening to late evening can be a bit loud due to festive area. We brought earplugs and were good. We would recommend this spot. I would also note that there isn’t a coffee maker and no elevator, but no big deal for us. Plenty of cafe’s in area. Emiliano and his team were fantastic! Communication was superb met us there when we arrived and overall communication was a 10! Enjoy!

The apartment had everything we needed for a few days. The building was truly authentic and beautiful with old stone stairs leading up to a new modern, clean & updated apartment. The management company was so helpful & arranged airport transportation. The robes & slippers were a nice touch. Our only complaint is that with a “close to everything, hip location in Travestere” you also get the noise at night. We recommend earplugs. If you stay up late and sleep in it’s not a problem

This apartment was delightful. I had booked Emiliano's two bedroom apartment for 7 full days following a week hiking in Spain and a week in Tuscany. The time in Trastevere was initially meant for myself and one friend however another friend who had not been with us on any part of our journey had decided to join us for a birthday celebration in Trastevere as a last minute "surprise". By the description of the unit I knew there would be plenty of room, what I didn't know was she was able to have her own private space. The apartment is listed as two bedrooms however the private sitting room has a pull out bed and very comfortable according. We each had our own private sleeping quarters with a full dining room and full living room to share. The space is comfortable, livable and a welcome oasis after long days of sight seeing. In the heart of Trastevere, there are plenty of choices of restaurants if you want to dine in the neighbourhood and the shopping is great. There is a constant hub of activity which is part of the charm, the downside is the noise, late night revellers like to hang out in the square below the apartment so if you are a light sleeper you may not enjoy it. The apartment is within walking distance of many of Rome's historical locations including the Vatican, a good sense of direction and a tourist map is all that is needed to navigate easily by foot. One thing to note, the apartment is on the third floor of a very old building. There are no lifts and the stairs would be a significant challenge to anyone with mobility issues. Emiliano was a wonderful host, he was very communicative via the website with transportation options and instructions regarding arrival and departure. The last minute "surprise" addition to our party arrived before me and Emiliano was very helpful in allowing her to check in before we got there which enhanced the "surprise" factor. He was also accessible via phone for additional requests, he was gracious and welcoming and made me feel like an honoured guest. The apartment has everything you need for an amazing Roman experience.

If one chooses Trastevere as the neighborhood of choice while in Rome, then look no further than this apartment. Not only was it clean, cool (in the summer heat), and very comfortable, we were also greeted with a gracious welcome - information, wine, etc. I would give it five stars were it not for the humming street life below, which is both a pro and a con. The building itself is old and dirty, but once inside the apartment that all disappears. In the mornings, the streets are strewn with debris from the previous night's party scene, but all is cleaned by 9 a.m. There is noise, but only a minor annoyance - and fun to look down on the crowds. Excellent restaurants abound. The sights of Rome, however, are over the river and although not far, not exceptionally close either. We enjoyed our visit to Rome and our stay in this lovely apartment - the most comfortable of all our VRBO accommodations throughout Italy.

We spent five nights in this spacious, well-equipped apartment. It is in the middle of Testevere street life, so the noise from the bars and restaurants may be hard for some to handle. But we enjoyed being in the middle of it all. Apartment is within walking distance of most major attractions and would recommend walking as much as possible to get a great feel for the city. We would gladly return to the apartment and the area.

My wife and I stayed in Emiliano's apartment during the last week of April with her cousin and his wife. We found the apartment to be very large and very comfortable. It is on the fourth floor of a very old building so there is no elevator but we found that not to be a problem during our stay there. (Climbing stairs is good exercise!) It has been well renovated. The two bedrooms are large and the beds comfortable. The main bedroom has an en suite bath; the second bedroom has a bath just outside its door. Both are very modern and well equipped. The showers good sized and the water pressure fine. Both the living room and kitchen are also large and can easily accommodate many people. This is one of the largest apartments we've stayed in in Italy. It is located in the heart of Trastevere so it is very convenient to the Vatican and the historic center of Rome is just across the river. Public transportation and/or taxis are readily available. There are many, many very good restaurants within easy walking distance. The apartment is in a busy city area, so there is some street noise, but that is to be expected. Light sleepers may want to bring some good ear plugs. Emiliano is a great host. All of our emails with questions, etc., we're answered very promptly, often within just a few hours. He arranged airport transfers for myself and my wife that went off without a hitch.

We stayed in Emiliano's trastevere apartment for the last week in January. The apartment was just as described on his web site. Super clean, comfortable beds, living room well furnished for comfortable lounging. The floor plan of the apartment was perfect for two couples, bedrooms, of a generous size, were at two ends of the apartment, so plenty of privacy. One of the bedrooms is immediately adjacent to a bathroom and amoderate size room which makes it perfect for couple traveling with children. The apartment was up a few flights of stairs, a bit arduous at first, but we returned home with strengthened legs. The location, literally just a few steps from Santa Maria in trastevere, and its lovely square, was also just right for folks looking for interesting streets, some narrow, cobblestones, lined with wide variety of small shops, bakeries, small restaurants, coffee bars. It is also well within walking distance of the campo d'fiore area and plaza navona. It is only a few blocks from a taxi stand. We found it helpful to avail ourselves of taxis when we were getting a bit weary from all of the walking we did. several comments referred to street noise. Since it was January I would guess it was less than in warmer seasons. But the windows in the apartment , new and easy to operate did an excellent job of damping what noise there was. Emiliano also arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport, take us directly to the apartment, where a sweet informative young lady welcomed us and explained all practical stuff like keys, heat, dishwasher operation, etc. such a luxury after my youthful travel experiences involving backpacks, stumbling around sorting out public transport, etc. similarly a driver back to airport. Also affordable. I highly recommend this apartment. Roomy two bath apartments in this excellent area of Rome seem hard to come by and we were delighted to find it. It was so relaxing to come home after a busy day of trying to as much as possible of rome's treasures, meeting up with our friends for a "prosecco" hour in the comfy living room before sauntering out in the evening for dinner.

Beautiful apartment close to the major historical sites and with hundreds of restaurants and shops at walking distance. The apartment location is in the hearth of Trastevere, the most typical and vibrant part of downtown Rome. The apartment is very spacious and fully equipped, it allowed me and my family (wife and a children) and my parents in law to have separate quarters and privacy. We also hosted comfortably a Christmas lunch with 12 guests. A lot is happening in Trastevere till late night (which is what makes the area unique) so do expect street noise. The area is blocked to the most of the traffic (only taxy and locals are allowed to drive in the area). Fantastic assistance from Emiliano (property manager) and his staff. They responded to our inquiries within minutes.I will contact them again for my next Roman Vacation.

The apartment is just as advertised. It is spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The location is absolutely perfect. It is walking distance to all the major tourist attractions, and in the perfect area to enjoy the wonderful Trastevere neighborhood. Emiliano was very responsive to our questions and requests. Including helping arrange transportation to and from the train station and airport. The apartment was perfect for two couples on vacation exploring Rome.
