Stroll along Broad Street's historic downtown, where antique shops and local eateries beckon visitors to explore Rome's charming core. Hike up to Myrtle Hill Cemetery for panoramic views, then cool off with a paddling adventure on the Etowah River.
Vagrants in packs with dogs taking over park benches on the walking trail near the hotel limited my comfort level to continue walking along the river. I loved crossing the river the the Broad street shops and restaurants, historical markers.
