"This was our second time staying at the Crown Hotel. We very much enjoy staying here. It’s super easy to access other parts of Northern Wales from her, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff very accommodating. The room was great too."

"A pleasant boutique style hotel. Staff were very helpful and polite but unfortunately it was clear they had not been properly trained in table service and wine pouring. Apparently they have a temporary manager at present and it is clear they need an experienced and enthusiastic professional to maximise its potential. "

"Stayed here several times whilst my partner attends hospital appointments. We are treated like old friends, very welcomed and the owner really did go above and beyond for us after our most recent stay. We had a special request and ahe did not hesitate to assist. "We received a warm welcome upon arrival from Kenny and his staff, We had a day a Chester races planned and were struggling to get a taxi so Kenny stepped in to save the day and kindly took us in his car. The rooms were clean, tidy and had tea and coffee making facilities and The En Suite bathroom was well equipped and a decent size with plenty of room in the shower.The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise outside so a good nights sleep is assured. "This is a terrible place for a person expecting a good nights sleep in a clean environment. I ended up staying in what felt a converted shed. It was cold and damp. The bedding felt wet to sleep in as it was so damp. I ended up sleeping in my t-shirt i was so cold. The pillows where brown and dirty. The carpet had not been hovered. The electrics tripped 3 times and i had to keep putting the switch back up. The tv didnt work. I had to keep getting up to use the buttons on the tv itself. The screen...

"An extremely warm welcome set the tone for my visit, yea and cake to start off with. First class service delivered by the marvellous hosts. A very well appointed room and en-suite bathroom. A fantastic house with a spectacular spacious garden. Minutes away from the Bird in the Hand pub and restaurant. I will be back for future visits to my family in the area. Very tasty breakfast ideal for setting up your day of activities."

"Nice room but en suite very small and cramped. Not sure I actually got the room I thought I had booked but in the end it did not matter as it was only for one night. Very friendly folks and very helpful. Not had breakfast yet so cannot comment on that. Close to shops and city centre. With parking."

"Very slow check in, card machine not working so had to write my card details down on a piece of paper (not sure this is compliant with GDPR). No iron available. Paid £15 for breakfast thinking it was a cooked breakfast but was only continental consisting of a box of cereal, a piece of ham, 2 pieces of cheese, rock hard crusty roll and a jar of strawberries. Drove 5 minutes down the road and got 2 full English breakfasts for £16. There was no shower gel and only half a toilet roll left for us....

"I went with a disabled young gentleman we stopped over for one night. The accommodation and parking were excellent right in the middle of Liverpool the apartment was clean but a little outdated. We asked for a first floor apartment but on arrival we were on the 5 floor which we managed but made it difficult for the young gentleman I was supporting over all communication a little poor. We will be going again but next time I’ll double check availability before booking. "

Fabulous stay

"This is the best hotel we have stayed in for some time. We were visiting Chester for the races so wanted somewhere near. We were not disappointed as it was less than 10 minutes walk to the race course gates, in fact our room overlooked a small part of the racecourse. We were able to check in slightly early and our room was great. Very light, spacious and clean. The bed was massive. It was super comfy and the air conditioning worked well. We had breakfast included and again what a lovely experience. We had a table by the window overlooking the racecourse. We were served at the table rather than it being the usual free for all buffet and there was a good choice. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again next time we visit Chester. The only slight niggle was when we arrived it was quite tricky finding the entrance to the car park as it wasn’t very well sign posted but it was a small thing and we soon forgot about it once we got in to the hotel. "

"The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of city centre shops, the cathedral and Chester racecourse. All the hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The bedroom had everything required including coffee and tea making facilities. The restaurant offered a good breakfast and a good selection of meals for dinner. We also enjoyed a bit of time in the swimming pool. Excellent."
