Checked us into dirty room, so asked for another one, said they would work on it, three hours later I asked about cleaning the room because still no new room then they said cleaning crew was gone. So I demanded new room and finally got an upgrade.

I want to give a good review, however, I can not give a perfect review. The room as my clean, the floor was sticky so we switched rooms, had to send our steak back twice and didn’t get the broccoli that was supposed to come with the meal. The slides weren’t open in the water park and no one mentioned that to us. My kids love the water slides so that was disappointing. Half the games in the arcade didn’t work. And the jetted tub in the room, the jets were filthy, I wouldn’t let my daughter take a bath. We had a standard room. I expected this stay to live up my the same expectations of my last stay a couple years ago I suppose.

Tried checking in at 3:55pm and was told I was too early and the room was not ready and that they would call me when it was. Waited an hour and went back to check and was told it still wasn't ready. Couldn't check in until 5:45 and they never did call me. Then when I asked if they would then give me an hour late check out for the inconvenience I was told no because the room was booked for later that night. The arcade was hit and miss if something worked. Nothing opened until 10 am and checkout was at 11.

We checked in and check out the same day. 137 a night is not worth it at the Lodge. It felt like I was at a red roof or motel 6. We walked into the hotel room and felt super uncomfortable. We had a door that opened into the next room, the bathroom tub was dirty, and it wasn’t worth the $300 I paid for 2 nights. So we ended up checking out the very same night and drove an hour down and spent the weekend in Grand Rapids.

Had it all planned out to surprise my boys with a weekend Double JJ Resort for sonsbday... Get there get checked in, get sent to our"room" that was supposed to be a loft room with a kitchen living room n all... Get there and it's a filthy tiny cabin with no TV WiFi or anything 2 miles away from the resort in the woods ...which was not what I reserved😤 go drive all the way back to the office to tell them, they send me to another cabin, again not what I reserved and that mug was dirty too SMH. So they told us we can just leave we leave and now Santiago's bday is ruined smfh I'm so upset. They didn't offer an apology or anything smfh all my money went into that I tried to book another room at the dunes and was met with a traumatizing experience. We just had the scariest experience ever the whole time we go outside to smoke n I see a person in the white mask and then he’s gone and I know what I saw so we say we’re going to go inside and tell the kids we got to leave because somebody gets Covid because we don’t want to scare them....but we didn’t even have to give them a reason as soon as we walk back into the room and said we were gonna leave they jumped up and we’re ready to go...so we all start packing our stuff and somebody starts banging on the windows and hiding so we took off n drove back home.... Scared all of us SMH... we get here and I called the hotel to tell them I left my laptop and that we left because somebody was banging on our windows and scaring us She laughed

Gread Family Trip

There was not a lot of parking and since we had to drive to the activities that was a challenge. we were told different information from different employees on the rates of things. We cant wait for our next trip once the water slides open up, we will feel much more confident going in there and understanding how the resort works.

I’ve visited here many times and this time I was a little disappointed. My room had a terrible odor upon arrival. We had to spray for several hours & open windows to remove the smell. The upstairs bathroom floor had hair everywhere on it. The heat in the bottom room suite did not work. It was a sauna of heat upstairs and freezing downstairs. The TVs are very outdated we couldn’t plug up anything with a hdmi cable. And I was very disturbed that the upstairs area did not have a television. The kids had to use my laptop to watch television.

Great stay at the JJ ranch! Every part of the trip was top notch. Every employee was extremely polite and helpful. The kids had an absolute blast. We will definitely be back.

The onsite restaurant had horrible service. I feel like for the price rooms should be more updated. The golf course and staff were great!

We had to wait 4 hours to get into our room. They kept saying 30-45 minutes. The ladies were nice at the desk but ridiculous we had to wait until after 7pm to get in the room. Other than that and you only get 1 pillow...it was a nice fun place.
