A wonderful hotel

Covered bike parking. Excellent dinner and really spectacular breakfast, huge choice and some unusual offerings e.g. honeycomb. Externally just another modern hotel with great floral decoration but the internal space was a tremendous piece of architecture.

Nice place restaurant has a strange distant service But the hotel is VERY expensive to travel to. Not on a train line or a bus route. €18 for a train to Rotterdam and 78€ for a taxi from there to the hotel. Add that on the hotel rate

We only stayed here one night but the bed and bathroom was good. The onsite restaurant was very beautiful with a lovely outdoor space. My only negative was that we had a room right next to the elevator so we heard that going up and down well into the evening.

Average hotel, a bit aging but ok. Positive in this chain is the free parking. Restaurant is very expensive and low quality (at least for dinner, food is only heated up).

I arrived with one colleague at the desk. The receptionist asked if we have been one in this hotel in the past. Yes for me and not for my colleague. And in front of me, the receptionist told my colleague that he was upgraded. Strange manner !

As always Van Der valk have amazing beds , beautiful breakfast , would’ve been nice to have some water in the room as a welcome touch But at Dinner I ate my carpaccio starter which was amazing , my main arrived which was lovely u til I chipped my tooth on what can only be described as porcelain which was in my Mash potatoes , although this was removed from my bill I'm now looking at a dentists bill to fix the chip in my tooth which tainted my stay
