"The first night we stayed we would award top marks, but on or return 4 days later the second room was not as good. It was not as clean, the shower screen support was loose, the tv was hanging and not working properly. The furniture on the terrace was very dirty, we cleaned it before we could sit down. We were served a meal in our room, but thought that the dirty dishes would be removed, but they remained until we signed out"

"For this level of hotel, Hotel de France is great - it's the 3rd time we've stayed there. Bang in the middle of the charming Chinon, lots of world class dining options and such a lovely town to walk around. Great stay. Thank You. "
