"We visited for a 2 night stay in mid November. This is a lovely property and very cosy for a barn conversion. We found every thing we needed for our stay and the internal lay out was ideal for our party. The local area is very pretty and there are plenty of attractions close by. We would definitely visit again."

"Stunning property in a beautifull location, only a stones throw from Bury St Edmunds, quiet and tranquil with all the amenities you need for a peaceful stay. Owner was on hand if required, loved the little touches of local bread, milk and orange juice, fab stay."

"Beautiful property, very nice renovation so there is a very modern kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen very well appointed with espresso machine and modern appliances. Nice touch to have a few coffee pods, tea bags, crisps and cookies in a welcome pack. Loved the walk in shower. "

"Seven of us age range 6-75 stayed at Gardners Cottage during New Year week. On arrival welcomed by the warmth of the property in the afternoon of the last day of the year. And welcomed even more by the Christmas tree beautifully lit in the dining room.Other lovely festive decorations( including mistletoe ) were still there in the hallway and lounge.The lounge very comfortable but may have benefitted by another light in the winter afternoon and evenings. "Oat Barn has everything you could wish for a delightful stay. It is beautifully designed and decorated. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need. Very clean and high quality. Great outdoor space overlooking fields and the church. Shot walk to an excellent traditional country pub. Short drive to plenty of pretty villages."

"The front of the house was not welcoming with a lot of dirty cobwebs around the window and door.The front door opened into the main living room which is the selling point of the property, it does have a wow factor with ingle nook fireplace and oak beamed walls but the sofas are old and uncomfortable and the large rug is very faded and rucks up and becomes a tripping hazard.The kitchen and bathroom are very dated (80s) and needing a complete refurbishment. "Easy walk to and from the train station. Very convenient if you are going to an event at Portman Road, that is also within walking distance. My room faced the parking lot which wasn’t ideal as I had requested a room facing the river. However it was quiet and at night the hotel sections off the corridors with doors which makes it nice and quiet for sleeping. The breakfast was a nice selection of hot and cold breakfast items. The hotel felt very safe and the room was clean and comfortable. "
