Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown

4/10 Poor

"The room we stayed in was a queen suite on the 4th floor. The exterior windows were so filthy you could barely see out of them. The room smelled musty and the finishes were old and dated. Damage to the baseboards doors. The fridge in the kitchen handle was stained/dirty and it was extremely understocked. There was no wine/bottle opener or ice bucket. It was also very load day and night with cars honking and racing up the street (Commerce). Also noise and music from ATT plaza constantly. The second floor bar was permanently closed and there was a creepy, disgusting old small hot tub off the 3rd floor stairwell (empty). The person who checked us in on 5/28 (Jesus) was a disheveled and unfriendly. He ran through is spiel in about 5 seconds and acted like we were bothering him. I would not stay here again, although it is in a great location. Stay at any of the nearby hotels."

"Cute boutique hotel. However, the bathroom was not cleaned properly. In the morning, housekeeping was literally banging on my door at exactly 11 o'clock, yelling at me that it was Check Out time. I was in the bathroom and the maid was jiggling the front doorknob! Will not stay here again just based on that. Ridiculous!!!!"

"The space is beautiful and very clean. The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and is in the last stages. It was very cool to watch the transformation even while we were there, and the result is sure to be stunning. However this did lead to a few inconveniences during our stay including the water being shut off for approximately 2 hours. There was communication delivered regarding this, but it was unexpected. The hotel was a great location for our events and is very walkable to a lot of downtown amenities. Overall we would stay here again!"

"The hotel staff was courteous and kind throughout my stay. When I checked out, I left my personal items (a dress and shoes) in the closet. I called back and spoke with the concierge, Darrell, and he was excellent in getting my items to my friend, who brought them home to me. This is a top-tier property with a well-trained staff."

"Im from Louisiana from the pictures it looked fine but the first room has baby roaches in the toliet paper and then when i went to get a room change he gave me a new roll of toilet paper. After a few minutes they finally gave me a new room and in the new room the toliet seat was nasty the shower was so dirty we showered in my slippers and well as floors coming up. As well as the day we were supposed to check-out houses keepers where banging in our door at then 9 am saying its check out time but when i asked, when is check out time she said 11 but we should check out soon. overall ive been at wayyyyyy better laquinta do not book here. ALSO THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST"
