"Great view of the Edmonton river valley from the dining room and outdoor patio. The staff were all courteous and accomodating.
My wife's only complaint was the hair conditioner bottle was empty. Not a problem for me because I don't have much hair left and can't read labels without My glasses.
Overall good experience."
"The Platinum Suite we stayed in was like being in a luxury apartment, and with the whirl pool bath, and also the log fireplace in the lounge made it a really cosy and romantic experience. We have travelled all over Canada from Halifax, NS to here, and will continue on to Vancouver after here, but this is the best home from home experience we have had on our long holiday so far. Absolutely outstanding value for money here at The Matrix Hotel. You must treat yourself to the the Platinum Suite option, it is AMAZING!"
"From check in to check out double tree made our stay memorable. The area around can be a deterrent for some but the homeless around don’t seem to be aggressive, but stay guarded and use caution anytime. The LRT is close, about a 17min walk to Roger’s place.
Edmonton occasionally has a stench of sewage. That’s infrastructure and nothing the hotel can do. Our room was clean, and in the closet there was removable hangers which was a win for me. Everything worked. You can tell they have made some renovations. You can’t make an old building brand new and if you fix your high standard will find it is perfect.
Whirlpool is nice with jets, the breakfast was extra for us, no buffet style, it was delicious, parking is 35. Convenience and proximity to Roger’s place for the win!"
