"The secluded countryside location was idyllic, contemporary room with extremely comfortable bed. A bench outside the lodge would have, in my opinion, added to the experience. The staff here were fabulous and a special thanks goes to the guy behind the bar who helped me back to my room, a real gentleman. I would recommend a stay here for anyone looking for old fashioned and quintessential english welcome and experience"

"Really lovely stay in this quiet little Oast House. We stayed in a round room, beautifully decorated with ensuite shower room. Tea and coffee and biscuits, TV in room. Plenty of drawers and cupboard space for clothes. Room clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely, and everyone was so friendly. We also had an excellent roast dinner on the Sunday. Just a short walk into Rye, which was a bonus. Would totally recommend it, and we hope to stay there again. "

"This is a property from the 1800's so this should give you an idea of what to expect. Lots of grand original features and very traditional. My room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. The hosts were an absolute joy to be around and provided great company and conversation. Breakfast was delicious and set me up nicely for the day. I would recommend without hesitation and I look forward to staying again. "

"A new hotel - I stayed on the 6th floor which was clearly brand new. The hotel was very clean and a pleasant stay overall. Some teething issues in that some of the appliances were not working (microwave) as they were brand new and not used before, but I am sure these will be ironed out in due course. I was in one of the small loft rooms, and the room was clean, there was plenty of space for me to spread out. "I really enjoyed my entire stay but would single out the breakfast as a highlight. Given that it was complimentary, the standard and selection was impressive. I also liked that on 3 separate occasions I saw areas of the hotel being cleaned by staff to show how important appearance is for their guests."
