"When we arrived to check in the room was not ready. Turns out they were not even aware of our booking until we showed it to them. We then had to wait two hours whilst the owner came to the property to get the room ready. Waiting outside in the side proved to be a disaster as their outdoor table and chair was covered in a black bitumen type substance that got all over the bottom of my trousers and completely ruined them. "You never know what to expect when travelling somewhere new but this place is lovely, it felt like a home away from home. The small touches like the thank you card, the candle, the decor, even the garden made it feel very homely. The host was amazing, she made me feel welcome, she showed me around and was very friendly.
