"Friends and were participating in the nearby Pathfinder March at RAF Wyton. We were going to be walking around 46 miles (no I didnt forget to put a decimal point in there - and YES i do mean MILES not km) We were traveling from London and Wiltshire and were due to register at 0300, to start walking at 0400 - so we wanted somewhere cheap to stay nearby the night before - and somewhere to flake out afterwards. "Had a wonderful overnight stay at Eagle Mill - only wish we could have been there longer. Lovely room with lots of great touches. Very comfortable bed and loved the skylight. View from the room over the orchard was delightful. We were looked after superbly by Marie from start to finish, who was extremely accommodating. "No free Wi-fi code left anywhere and attendants mobile never responded, horrible almost on floor bed with urine stained manky old worn unprotected mattress, bedroom window blind broken so exposed to neighbours and tatty external areas, no bathroom mirror (previously broken and not replaced), paid £6 extra for breakfast, expecting cooked, but it was a help yourself basic toast/cereal. While overall clean(except the horror under the bed sheets, the overall kerb appeal was totally neglected and...

"Chose The Old Mill on a last minute booking as attending conference in Milton Keynes and was cheapest available... what a find! Staff (& locals) very welcoming, especially Kirsty. Didn’t realise it was so rural but very welcome after gruelling drive from Sussex and hectic two days studying. Sat in beer garden and heard.... nothing (except lonely owl). No street lights but watched half a dozen bats flitting about. Very relaxing and within easy drive to MK. Looked like tourist attractions also...
