Top Rye Hotel Reviews

River Haven Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Nice hotel in a great location for exploring Rye and the nature reserve nearby. Breakfast was good and the kids enjoyed sitting by the river while we ate. The beds were comfortable and room had everything we needed as a family."

16th Century Cottage Situated Opposite The Medieval Landgate Arch
10/10 Excellent
"My host Richard communicated well providing clear instructions about check-in and parking. He even popped round with logs for the fire. The kitchen was well equipped but I missed having a coffee machine. Just a personal preference. The double bed was comfy and the shower powerful, two essentials in my opinion. Being a 16th-century cottage the bathroom in particular was drafty, but the cottage was cosy with the heating required for only a short time to make the lounge snug. Because of the time of year I didn’t get to sit in the little garden, but it’s a great asset and I’m sure it would be much used in the dryer weather."

Pretty 18th century cottage centrally situated on Mermaid Street in Rye
10/10 Excellent
"What a wonderful home base for my week in Rye and Sussex! From the initial contact, Claire made the process go very smoothly. It was a delight to pop in and out of this lovely house on Mermaid Street when I was exploring locally and a very welcome place to go home to after being away on a day trip. I couldn't believe how quiet the neighborhood (and neighbors) were -- you would never know you are at the center of town. I came to Rye especially to visit Lamb House but my second favorite activity was walking the 7-9 mile loop down along the estuary, past Camber castle, and to the English Channel (on a sunny day). My favorite meal --and there were many-- might just have been having high tea outside at the Cobbles Tea Room. This rental is a true gem and I hope to be lucky enough to come back again."

The George in Rye
10/10 Excellent
"It very nicely located in the old part of town,"

The Ship Inn
8/10 Good
"Basic but clean. Got a good nights sleep. Ideally located to explore the pretty town of Rye"

The Hope Anchor
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely property. Wonderful breakfast. Very nicely located for visiting all the local highlights. Very clean. My only small complaint would be the check-in process when you have to wait till exactly 3 o’clock for someone to come in and check you in"

The Old Borough Arms
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at Old Borough Arms in Rye! Sarah and the team went above and beyond to welcome us and made our stay as comfortable as possible. We loved the charming & cozy setting of the place, with a superb location right at the end of Mermaid Street and few mins walk to the train station. Our room was lovely and homey, exactly the vibe we needed for the weekend. Would highly recommend this beautiful place for any trip to Rye! Thank you Sarah and team again and am sure we'd meet again soon! Tom & Davide"

The Kings Head Rye
8/10 Good
"Hotel was nice and comfortable overall. Breakfast was great! Only hiccup was that hotel rebooked us in a different room than I had booked without telling us, new room didn't have bed set up that we wanted."

Extraordinary Huts
8/10 Good
"The Hide Out was exceptionally clean which was a bonus in our case as both my daughter & I are allergic to animal hair and I'm sure many pets have accompanied their owners at times. We spent a most enjoyable couple of nights. Only drawback, the dangerous entrance and in particular, the exit to the site."
