Flawless. We loved our stay at The Ship Inn and I strongly recommend it for any stay in Rye. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of town. The pub is beautiful and historic and the room itself modern and faultlessly clean. Some little details I really appreciated: tea and coffee and kettle in the room (with oat milk sachets!), a deep bath, tv, desk fan and a very comfy, spacious bed. 10/10

I wish I had liked this inn more. When my train was delayed by a few hours, they willingly accommodated a late check-in. However, I was disappointed by the room. First, there is mildew in the shower. Second, they left the service door next to my room open to facilitate housekeeping, but that meant that all the cooking smells from the kitchen below entered my room. Because the windows can’t be opened more than a few inches, there was no way to air the room. I had to clean the fan before I could use it since it was furry with dust. I loved Rye, but not this inn.

Little night away

We stayed here to break up a journey, lovely little place to stay right by the river and only a short walk to the high street, room very comfy with good bathroom, tea / coffee tray, food was avaliable but we eat elsewhere but heard good reviews

I really enjoyed my stay here - beautiful rooms, a great location and it’s a small detail but I really loved the fact that they had small oat milk options with the tea and coffee in the room. Would definitely stay here again.

Greeted by a very helpful Nicole, who also took dinner order and dealt with dietary requirements. Rooms modern and clean. You have to pay to park but car park is very close. Location very close to the town centre.

Wonderful place to stay

A lovely place to stay if you are visiting Rye. It’s in a great spot with good food and very helpful, friendly staff. Couldn’t fault it at all and would definitely return.

Great Dog-Friendly Break

we had a fantastic break at a reasonable price too. Lovely staff, very good breakfast, gorgeous, well equipped and comfortable room and beautiful decor throughout the inn. Dog welcome in rooms for a reasonable supplement (with extras provided for it too: bowl and welcome kit) and in the pub. Will come back!

Very positive experience. Staff were welcoming, friendly and made me feel at home from the moment that I walked in. I called beforehand to check on something and they were really helpful. The room was pleasantly decorated, nice big tv, very clean and well appointed, with tea, coffee and bottled water. Central location. Dog friendly establishment. This is somewhere that I would definitely recommend and will return to when I'm the area.

40th wedding anniversary

I have always wanted to visit Rye after l heard about it on the radio. I was not disappointed. The Ship Inn staff were very welcoming, the food was lovely and also the atmosphere, you felt that the staff were happy in their work. We had our rather large dog with us, who settled quickly to his different surroundings. Also a sausage treat now and then was welcomed. I would definitely stay there again, also so well placed for accessing the town, only downside is parking, we managed each time to find a space where you could park for free. I would highly recommend a stay at the Ship Inn.
