"I feel the stay could have been better with greater attention to service. We paid for early check in, as we were attending a wedding and wanted to drop our things off/get ready. We were told that our twin bed set up had yet to be turned into separate beds from the king bed. When we got back at 12:30am, the beds hadn't been separated and at that point, just wanted to sleep. It was a really uncomfortable night. The room was stiflingly hot and there were only too small upper windows, not letting enough air in. It got to the point at 5am where it became unbearable, so we attempted to put the supplied fan on, but it made so much noise due to a bent fan, thankfully we managed to adjust it to stop the noise. Everything else was fine. Breakfast was good, the staff on reception were friendly... it's just a shame that the housekeeping service, broken fan, and poor ventilation in the room let the experience down. I couldnt bear to think what it would be like to stay in one of those rooms during a heatwave."

"Bed was comfortable. Room was warm and clean. Hot water for shower. Staff helpful. Good location. Stayed 3 nights, but bins not emptied. Needed better lighting. Needed an extra chair."

"Exactly what we were looking for for our stay in the Cotswolds. This house is situated so beautifully and perfectly we absolutely loved our one-week stay and I was very sad to leave. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was clean and fresh, The bathrooms and kitchen were modern and functioned well, and the owners are the kind of people you want to be best friends with. They gave us a list of nearby places to visit and each location was well worth it. There are animals (horses, sheep, ducks) on the property that only add to its charm. The pond out front is picturesque and I spent hours watching all the wildlife--mostly birds--while painting. The location of Nell House is on the edge of the Cotswolds and provides a lot of flexibility. From here, we could easily access the heart of the Cotswolds, the Downs and Salisbury, the West over to Bath, or north-east toward Stratford upon Avon. It's only a short train ride into London if needed. We would go out of our way to stay here again. "

"Great room and comfy bed. Very well positioned property to visit all that The Cotswolds has to offer. Excellent breakfast with lots of options cooked to order. We enjoyed two excellent dinners as well and recommend booking during busy periods. Lovely beer garden area and excellent staff. A perfect stay and highly recommend. Thanks!"

"Cosy, well equipped cottage in a quiet location. Nice enclosed garden for our dog and a short walk into the village or to the river. Good communication with Julia and a nice little welcome pack."

"The room was spotless and communal areas were very clean and tidy. It had a nice cosy atmosphere and staff were welcoming on arrival. Staff very helpful and polite during the stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of options to suit any taste. It was really nice to see local ingredients being used. Parking was fine, it was a bit tricky getting in the car park but we didn’t have any issues finding a space on the road if it was full. We had an evening meal which was also very tasty. Rooms had all you could need amenities."
