"Stayed in the upstairs appartment which run the length of the building .Very well equipped with washing machine and a dish washer,a welcome surprise. The pool is in a secluded garden location. Negatives Our end bedroom had a strange en suite bathroom arrangement. A screen instead of a wall. A Jack n Jill sink taking up space that could have been used for a toilet and single sink. A bit odd!."

"The house was beautiful, cozy and spacious and it offers a quiet and private get-away. Anne was very responsive to our enquiries and was quick to resolve any issues. Please note that there is very minimal wifi and bathroom towels are not included but can be provided for at a cost of £10 per towel. We had a lovely time!"

"The property is spacious and well furnished. We had a full house of 8 adults and two children and had plenty of room. The pool was refreshing and the expansive gardens had plenty of room for a kick about and some racket sports. The area is beautiful and the sunsets were a sight to behold from the patio. The morning mist over the valley was lovely. The house is a great base to explore the Dodrogne. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go again."

"The property had the advantage of a lovely pool (shared with other guests) which was fantastic as temperatures exceeded 35 degrees while we were there. The cottage was in a lovely quiet village and we purchased a lot of local produce from the Co-op cabin situated in the village square - well worth a visit. The property was ideally located to visit many lovely areas of the Dordogne such as Montignac, Sarlat, Domme and many others."

"Karen’s Le Chouettes is a lovely rural property that was perfect for our family. We stayed in the cottage and we found it so well laid out with plenty of privacy for everyone but many common areas to enjoy each others company. We had a few days in April where the kids were able to enjoy the pool. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of top quality. Plenty of thick towels were also provided. "A really beautiful house, well furnished with comfortable beds and clean, functional bathrooms. Pool was a real winner especially with my 4 year old, we must have been in it at least 3 times a day. Outdoor BBQ facilities were great in a really idyllic location. As an english speaker with a really limited grasp of French, the property manager spoke perfect English and was so welcoming, and couldn't do enough for us. I'd return in a heartbeat."

"We (family of 4 with 3.5 yr old and 1.5 yr old) stayed in June 2019. The property is in a great location near to lots of lovely market towns and villages. Setting is incredibly picturesque. Communication with the owner before our stay was excellent - owners were very helpful with practical and local information. We arrived at the property quite late on a Friday evening. Checkin was easy but if you arrive late, pickup food en-route as many of the local shops and restaurants had already closed....

"This is a good property in the heart of the historic district of Sarlat. We had great support from Valentin and Clois when we were there. The room was in the attic with a small kitchenette, which we used for breakfast 2 of the days that we were there. We needed a property with a garage and booked one with them. What we did not realize that this was a several minute walk from the property itself. There also was no convenient place to bring up the car to unload luggage since there was a fair going...

"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
