Rental of charm in Saint Cirq La Popie, medieval village in the Lot

In one of the most beautiful villages of France, medieval and picturesque, very tourist, clinging to the cliff of the Lot, descending steeply, the rental is located in a house of the sixteenth, overlooking the main street.
The house is spread over three levels and comprises:
- On the ground floor: an entrance, 1 small room with a bed of 90 cm and 1 WC
- On the first floor: a main room of 30 m2, lit by mullioned windows, converted into a living room, dining area and lounge, equipped with a flat screen TV and Internet access, a separate kitchen and a bathroom with bathtub and washing machine.
- On the second floor: a large attic room with a bed of 140 cm and an adjoining toilet.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the necessary utensils.
In the living room there is a television and private and unlimited access to the internet.
All linen is provided (bedding, table linen and toilets). End-of-stay cleaning is free.
This house has a beautiful view of the Lot Valley and the kitchen, the small garden and the village.
The entrance to the rental is private. Part of the ground floor is occupied by a craft store but the rental space is completely independent of the shop. The entries are separated. The small private garden is accessible from the outside and reserved for tenants.
The neighborhood is bustling with many shops (but no grocery stores) and restaurants. Bakery and grocery store in the valley about 3 km. All amenities in Limogne (10 km) with every Sunday big country market.
The surrounding environment is nice. The house is located at the foot of the Rignault Museum and the Church. The Lot is 500 m away with a beach, canoe rentals and play facilities. Many hikes proposed. Possibilities of boat ride.
Saint-Cirq is located in a very tourist area: Embarrassment of choice for the purposes of walk: Puech-Merl caves, Lot valley, Causse villages, Cahors, Villeneuve sur Lot, Figeac and its Champollion museum and further Rocamadour, chasm of Padirac ....
The access by car is very simple by the exit "Cahors Nord" of the A20 motorway. Attention, there is no parking inside the village, but large car parks around. I provide free parking card.
Access by public transport is not easy: station in Cahors 35 km, 2 buses a day ...
This rental is suitable for three people (plus a baby: cot provided). Animals can not be admitted.

Es war wunderschön in Saint Cirq Lapopie. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet alles was man braucht. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Christine ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Vom Haus kann man schöne Wanderungen machen und immer wieder kleine Schönheiten im Dorf und den vielen kleinen Lädchen entdecken. Es besteht eine riesige Auswahl an Restaurants im Dorf selber. Aber die Küche ist so ausgestattet, dass man sich dort Wir würden gerne wiederkommen!!

Mooi appartement in een mooie omgeving!

Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is zeker een bezoek waard en is een van de schilderachtigste dorpen in Frankrijk. Het dorpje is dus best toeristisch, maar erg mooi. Ook de natuur is mooi, veel vogels en heel veel vlinders en veel belangrijke en mooie bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. Ook wandelend is er veel te ondernemen. Appartement is echt midden in het dorp. We hebben een prettig verblijf gehad en ondanks de nationale feestdag, op 14. Juli en het dorpsfeest, bleef het redelijk rustig. Van drie kanten kun je uit het huis kijken en is het mooi. Er is een restaurant met terras direct onder het appartement. De verhuurster is erg aardig ben doet haar best het naar je zin te maken met attente dingen (bv. zorgen dat we toch iets voor ontbijt hadden, omdat alle winkels dicht waren 😊: Bedankt!). De belangrijkste dingen waren schoon en goed verzorgd. Voor de heenreis stuurt ze een gedetailleerde beschrijving hoe het appartement met de auto te bereiken is, maar wissel voor de zekerheid kleur en type van de auto van tevoren uit, of spreek af op een parkeerplaats, om samen te rijden. Elkaar mislopen en verkeerd rijden in Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is lastig… Kortom een prettig appartement in een mooie omgeving!

Couldn't be better

Staying in St Cirq has been a dream ever since I first visited it on a day trip. So I was thrilled to find Christine's beautiful house and to stay in it for 5 days. It's location is just perfect, with stunning views from every window. Not recommended for people who can't manage the steep walks to carparks or stairs, but brilliant for anyone who can. The house itself is spotless, nicely decorated, comfortable, equipped with everything you might need - completely home-like. And Christine was wonderfully warm, welcoming, helpful, and full of useful information. Thanks Christine - your house and you yourself made my stay truly memorable in every good way.

Super vacances à Saint Cirq

Lovely apartment overlooking the Valley. Madame Brousse is one of the nicest people we have had the pleasure of staying with. The perfect host. The apartment is well furnished with air conditioning in the upstairs bedroom although we didn’t need it even in August. We would highly recommend her place for an enjoyable stay in this area of France.

Excellent séjour

Très joli séjour à Saint Cirq Lapopie. La maison est pleine de charme, décorée avec soin, agréable à vivre. Elle est équipée de tout le nécéssaire. Le village fait honneur à sa réputation et on se sent extrêmement priviligiés de loger sur place. Nous avons été très bien reçus par la propriétaire, gentille et attentionnée, et qui est restée disponible et joignable pendant tout le séjour. Énormément de belles choses à visiter dans la région, les activités ne manquent pas. Bref, nous recommandons grandement!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au coeur de ce joli village médiéval. La propriétaire était très accueillante et prévoyante. La maison est décorée avec soin et possède magnifique petit jardin où nous avions plaisir à prendre l'apéro.

Imagine sitting in your own little garden with a glass of wine deciding whether to walk the 10, 20, or 100 metres needed to get to one of the many delicious restaurants in this gorgeous village. Every attraction at your door.

A very special stay in a very special place.

This small, well-appointed and comfortable villa is beautifully located in the middle of the gorgeous medieval village of St. Cirq Lapopie. Beautiful rooftop views. Perfect for a couple with an occasional visitor. Two good restaurants next door and congenial shop keepers as neighbors. The owner Christine Brousse could not have been friendlier or more helpful without intruding on our privacy. We rented for six weeks and loved every minute. Very sad to leave! You must expect, however, that the village streets are steep and, though you can drive through the village to drop off items, you will leave your car at least a ten-minute walk away. We adjusted to this, however, and the challenge became a part of the specialness of our stay. Top marks for this location!

Beautiful property in picture postcard village

Christine met us on arrival, helped us unload the car and gave us a tour of the property. She provided the essentials for our first breakfast as well as a bottle of wine to help us relax after a long ride from the Loire. She was available throughout our visit in her shop in the same building and was consistently helpful and friendly. The property is beautifully decorated with all the amenities a traveller could need including access to two great restaurants literally feet from the door. Saint Cirq Lapopie is very popular with tourists for good reason so be prepared for a constant but not intrusive traffic flow by the rental. Also be prepared for the climbs. Fortunately there are benches at strategic spots to catch one's breath and the distances aren't too long. A thoroughly enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend.

Fantástico

Hemos estado dos semanas y nos encantaron la casa, el pueblo y la comarca en general incluyendo la playa fluvial al lado del pueblo donde nos bañábamos y hacíamos deportes acuáticos por las tardes después de hacer excursiones por la zona. La casa es preciosa, decorada con muy buen gusto, compaginando la solera de la casa de un pueblo medieval con todas las comodidades, muy espaciosa, tiene absolutamente de todo. La situación de la casa es inmejorable con unas vistas excepcionales. La casera es muy hospitalaria y atenta. Estuvo pendiente de nosotros en todo momento para hacernos la estancia lo más agradable posible. Nos facilitó información de todo tipo sobre el pueblo, los alrededores y todo lo que pudiéramos necesitar. Aparte recomendamos el restaurante "l'oustal" que está en la misma calle justo en frente de la casa, es decir a dos pasos de distancia. ¡Tienen muy buena cocina! y el personal es muy simpático.

Excellent accueil de la part de Christine Brousse. La maison est charmante et bien équipée ; nous avons eu un peu chaud les premiers jours en raison de la canicule, surtout dans la chambre du haut, mais heureusement la température a baissé par la suite. Au final, un excellent séjour dans un bien joli village, à proximité de la rivière du Lot qui s'est révélée bien utile pour se rafraichir !

Très belle maison dans un site magnifique !

Nous avons passé deux heureuses semaines à Saint Cirq Lapopie, pittoresque village situé dans un environnement enchanteur que nous avons pu découvrir au cours de nos nombreuses visites et randonnées. Le gîte, confortable, décoré avec goût et bien équipé, est absolument charmant (fenêtres à meneaux, poutres, pierres apparentes) et on s'y sent vraiment bien. Il offre par ailleurs trois vues différentes et superbes sur le vieux village, et dispose d'un adorable jardinet. Les ruelles, toutes piétonnes, sont très fréquentées et animées en journée mais, la nuit venue, il règne dans ce lieu hors du temps un calme étonnant, un profond silence propice au repos avec, depuis le lit, une vue sur le ciel étoilé. (à noter qu'il n'y a pas de moustiques à Saint Cirq). Nous tenons à remercier très chaleureusement Madame Christine Brousse pour son accueil, les attentions qu'elle réserve à ses locataires (les lits sont faits, les draps de bain sont fournis, le premier petit-déjeuner est prévu...), les informations qu'elle nous a données sur la région et les lieux à découvrir, et pour nos sympathiques discussions. Das Appartment liegt im Zentrum des mittelalterlichen Ortes und ist sehr ansprechend eingerichtet.Da kein Autoverkehr im Ort zugelassen ist, sondern die Fahrzeuge am Rande des Ortes auf speziell eingerichteten Parkplätzen parken, ist es ruhig, obwohl der Ort von vielen Touristen besucht wird.Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

A beautiful appartment with wonderful views in 3 different directions. The owner was very nice and helpful and easily accessible as she has an apparel boutique right next door where she can be found during working hours. I appreciated having a washing mashine and a comfortable place to read in the evening. The village is very pretty, arguably the most attractive in the area. It is also rather touristy but this is mostly limited to weekends, at least during our one week stay in late June. Cars are not allowed, but you will be able to drive up to the property to unload your luggage. Parking areas are located above the village. If you have any trouble walking, bear in mind that the village is perched on a cliff and streets can be very steep ( but the distances are small). Many interesting day trips can be made from this location. We really enjoyed our stay.

Très bel appartement

Saint Cirq La Popie est toujours un aussi beau village ! Nous y étions déjà venus deux fois ! Mais cette fois-ci il y avait un plus, habiter sur place dans l' appartement de Mme Brousse était vraiment très agréable ! Il est très joli, confortable et décoré avec beaucoup de goût ! L'accueil a été aussi très simple et très sympathique ! N'hésitez pas !
