Looking for an authentic and chic place to relax in the mountains in winter and summer?

"The Refuge of Marguerite" is for you.

This chalet is located in a small mountain hamlet between Saint Gervais and Les Contamines-Montjoie a few steps from the Gruvaz gorges and near the TMB (Tour of Mont Blanc).
Ideally located a few minutes from the departure of the slopes you can choose your area between Saint Gervais, Les Contamines or Saint Nicolas de Véroce.
Make the most of your stay by relaxing in our private jacuzzi heated on a panoramic terrace facing Mont-Joly after a beautiful day of skiing or hiking (Extra to book live - from 150 € the week - Available from 1st of July 2019).

2 rooms 4 persons (2 adults / 1 child or 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 teenagers / children).
- The ground floor:
Kitchen: 4 induction hob, extractor fan, fridge, convection oven, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, kettle, toaster, cooking utensils.
Separate toilet.

- Upstairs:
Living room: Sofa, television, 1place bed in cabin-alcove, balcony
Bathroom: walk-in shower with rain shower and sensory shower with essential oils, hair dryer
Mezzanine bedroom: sleeps 2 - access by ladder. You will spend a pleasant night enjoying the view of the village of Saint Nicolas de Véroce thanks to the trapeze windows.

- Annex small cottage: you can have a relaxation area with a sleeping 2 people in mezzanine - Does not have a water point.

- Services included: bed linen and towels, kitchen towel, a kitchen maintenance kit, products home bathroom, Wifi.

Not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Access to the cottage in winter is only on foot about 100 meters from the main road.

A little history?
Saint-Gervais les Bains, more than a resort is an art of living in the mountains where chalets and florets of the architecture of the beautiful era alongside contemporary art with ease for a unique identity with a dynamic atmosphere .
The town "houses" Mont-Blanc, mythical summit of which it is the most direct way of access. The roof of Europe, at the top of these 4810 meters of altitude, dominates its four villages, its two ski areas and for more than 200 years, its famous thermal spring. This family and sports destination is labeled "family plus" and allows summer and winter that everyone finds activities according to their level and preferences.

Le gîte correspond aux photos mais nous avons été surpris d'être accueillis par une boîte à clés. L'intérieur était très propre mais l'extérieur n'a été fait que le vendredi de notre 2eme semaine et la réactivité (une semaine) pour changer l'eau du spa qui n'était pas propre à notre arrivée était très décevante. Le gîte est très bien placé pour les amoureux de la rando et les navettes gratuites mises à disposition par les mairies de St Gervais et Les Contamines sont un vrai plus.

Très beau chalet avec un intérieur chaleureux et très bien équipé . Un jardin avec une vue sur la montagne exceptionnelle . La cerise sur le gâteau avec le bain norvégien qui clôture la journée bien au chaud.

Petit chalet atypique et chaleureux… décoré avec goût, très bien équipé. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine. Très calme et une vue magnifique… chemins de randonnées à 2 pas du chalet… seul bémol de notre séjour le chemin verglacé et fort pentu = 3 chutes mais rien de cassé ;-) prévoir des crampons en période hivernale. Je recommande ce chalet…

Das Chalet sieht sehr ansprechend aus und hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Allerdings ist das was man anhand der Bilder erwartet in echt ein schlechter Scherz. Angefangen mit dem bei Schnee und Eis kaum bis schlecht zugänglich Weg bis zum Chalet. Achtung Unfallgefahr!!! Um zum Chalet zu gelangen muss man einen steilen Berg hinunter, was mit Gepäck etc. kaum möglich war. Weiter gehts mit dem Bett das einem zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Lediglich eine billige Matratze, die ohne Lattenrost einfach auf den Holzboden gelegt wurde. Dazu fehlen sämtlich Möglichkeiten, um z. B. bei schlechtem Wetter etc. seine nassen Sachen vernünftig aufzuhängen und zu trocken. Stattdessen muss man sich behelfen und wenn man Pech hat, darf man am nächsten Tag mit nassen Klamotten Ski fahren. Die größte Frechheit ist das Thermal Bath. Nicht nur das viel zu wenig Holz zum beheizten bereitgestellt wird, angeblich abgestimmt auf die jeweilige Aufenthaltsdauer, was aber Quatsch ist. Nein, es wird von einem auch noch verlangt, wenn man nachfragt, ob man noch mehr Holz bekommen könnte, dafür noch extra zu bezahlen. Bzw. man bekommt vom Eigentümer eine SMS, man würde ja nicht in einer Hotelresidenz leben. Dafür dann auch noch 260€ zu verlangen grenzt an einer Frechheit. Dadurch konnten wir das Thermal Bath grade mal 2 von 9 Tagen nutzen. Selbst auf Nachfrage von uns wo man denn das passende Holz kaufen könnte bekamen wir keine Antwort. Alles in allem können wir nur jedem davon abraten, mit ,, Hills 4820“ Urlaub zu machen. Was nicht unerwähnt bleiben sollte, ist, dass man einen Mietvertrag unterschreiben muss, damit die Buchung zustande kommt, der allerdings nur auf Französisch ist. Dazu konnte bei der Übergabe die Eigentümerin nicht ein Wort Englisch, was dazu führte, dass das ganze lediglich 10 sec. dauerte und wir mit Fragen zurückgelassen wurden. #schlechterservice.

Mazot authentique et comfortable à emplacement magnifique
Mazot authentique au comfort d'aujourdhui organisé de façon scandinave, situé dans un hameau de montagne magnifique. Repos complet et vues époustouflantes sur les environs. Vos logis offre soit ski l'hiver, soit randonnée ou alpinisme en été "devant la porte". Même en temps de mauvais temps, il vous reste des activités et découverte à faire !
