Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa

"The location, facilities, friendliness and kindness of the staff made this a wonderful stay. The room we had was overlooking the bay and was wonderful, well maintained and clean. Breakfast was superb with a varied range of hot and cold produce with self service and also offered menu specials. Our only negative was a really poor meal in the outside bar area. This was advertised as a Paella night but having waited over 30 mins at our table and finally ordered, the meal was eventually served and this was dry and tasteless. The prawns were dirty and squid not soft, but hard and dried. This was not a good advert on our first night and ate out at local restaurants for dinner after this. This was the only disappointment of our stay and mentioned this during checkout and they did not seem too concerned. This is a lovely hotel and the staff are fantastic, we would return but unfortunately not have dinner here."

"The communal areas were smart but rooms were tired and in need of an upgrade, particularly they need air conditioning especially those facing the road where it is very noisy if you need to keep the windows open. Whilst generally tidy/ clean the shower head badly needed descaling as it only worked to half capability and spayed everywhere. We asked for a change of room after the first night . The staff were extremely helpful in sorting this. We ate in the restaurant twice where there was a pleasant ambience with tasty food and good service. Breakfast was ok but disappointing that only tinned fruit was set out. The pool area was also a good place to relax."

"Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful and the rooms were immaculate. However, the hotel was a bit dated and would benefit from a bit of a refurb. The pool area was a good size with plenty sunbeds but a bit unkempt with weeds around the paving however it didnt stop us spending most of the day there once or twice. We enjoyed our stay and was good"

"A warm welcome at reception, immaculate and comfortable room with Elemis toiletries in the spacious bathroom. We booked sea view rooms, and enjoyed looking over the harbour and across the bay to St Helier. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel were very enjoyable. I recommend taking the Dolan Loyalty Card - useful discounts on spending at the hotel and its partners on Jersey."
