"Overnight stay enroute back to the uk, a little tricky to find, due to reliance on vehicle gps. Slight issues with checking in, due to some problems with Expedia system but no real problem. Bedroom amazing, so elegant. Host recommended a local restaurant for evening meal which didn’t disappoint. Great breakfast with Home made jams and cake. Enjoyed our stay."

"The reviews online rave about the very nice rooms. The reviews and hotel info do not make clear that arriving with a car is very difficult logistically. The hotel boat is moored where there is only a pedestrian footpath. There is no where close by to drop the bags for easy access, many meters from where cars are allowed. There are no actual staff at the location, only virtual staff who cannot help with the luggage drop or movement. You get parking recommendations only after the cancel window...

"The concept is novel and well executed. We were staying as part of a cycling tour down the Via Rhona, for which the location is perfect, with bespoke secure bike storage. "19/08/25: nous pensions réserver une chambre dans la belle demeure montrée sur les photos, nous avons finalement dormi dans une annexe donnant sur rue, sans aucun charme. Nous pensions pouvoir dîner au restaurant de l’hôtel, il était fermé en pleine saison. Le petit déjeuner constitué en partie des restes de la veille et de viennoiseries de l’avant veille n’a hélas pas remonté le niveau. Seules les poules en liberté dans le jardin nous ont fait sourire durant ce court séjour …"

"Not sure if it was because it was end of season but whole area in need of some tlc. Restaurant closed apart from pre ordered breakfast. Kitchen drawers had food bits in them an floor dirty. Not shown where bins or indoor pool was on arrival. Chair broken. A shame as has potential."
