We had a truly wonderful stay at Les Roches Rouges.
What makes this hotel so exceptional is its unique location right by the sea. Even during the busy summer season, we always found peaceful spots with breathtaking sea views to relax and enjoy our days by the water.
What stood out most, however, was the lovely hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Romane and her entire Front Desk team made us feel genuinely welcome.
Our stay began with a delightful personal tour by one of Romane’s colleagues (whose name I unfortunately don't remember), who introduced us to the hotel's facilities and even to some of the team members along the way.
It was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that immediately made us feel at home.
We also had a wonderful evening at La Chicoula. The team created a wonderfully relaxed yet attentive atmosphere, and we thoroughly enjoyed a delicious dinner.
Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable – we will gladly return.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful throughout the hotel. We enjoyed the 2 pools and proximity to a beach for a swim and taking out a kayak.
The hotel room was clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay.
Gorgeous oceanfront stay with very attentive staff and memorable Michelin Star dinner. It was unfortunate that the fitness center wasn’t available and the room was on the small side, but we had a lovely stay

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The location and facilities were absolutely wonderful but the service was some of the worst I’ve seen at a luxury property. Upon arrival we were told by three different employees our room would be ready shortly on multiple occasions and that they were asking the cleaning team to “double rush” our room. Ultimately, the room was not available until 45 minutes after the official check in time. Then when we got to our room we wanted to take a shower as we had a long travel day including a red eye flight. Our room had no towels and we had to ask 3 different times for the staff to bring towels to our room. Additionally, our suitcases were not brought to our room until 2 hours after we were in the room. When our suitcases were brought down it was discovered the staff had lost one of our suitcases. They then figured out they left the suitcase in the vehicle during the valet process. Their response was “at least we did not lose it.”Not exactly 5 star service. The property had an expansion in June 2025 (stay was in May 2026) and it felt clear they still had not recovered from the increased guest activity. No chairs available at the pool or beach on day 1. The workers felt incredibly confused and overwhelmed and it was clear there was no manager on site with any authority. Each step along the way it felt as if the hotel staff did not want to go the “real” manager to explain the situation and take accountability or make it right. The price reflects luxury but the service is lackluster.
Generally a great hotel with at a stunning location and well designed interior. Although the rooms could be a bit more spacious for the price. What leads to the lower rating is the bad service. There are really great individuals but in sum this is not good enough for the class this hotel aspires. Two main things: 1) the service at the pool is very inexperienced, forgets items and is very slow (for astronomic prices of €20+ spritzes, €12 Iced Coffees...) 2) We forgot some items in the room and immediately contacted the reception. Only after a second follow up they reacted with a simple "nothing was there" which is obviously wrong, they just didnt check. A further follow up has not been answered by the hotel. In summary: nice for instagram, nice to hang out at the pool but the service needs to improve big time and not worth the price.
The property is gorgeous, the food is good. Unfortunately the front desk staff needs a lot of work. They double charged parking on my bill as well as my travel companion's bill when we only had 1 car between both of us. Trying to contact the hotel and get a response now is impossible. Also the morning of my departure, I had coordinated a breakfast to take with me. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not ready and the front desk had no clue about it even though I arranged this the prior day with the front desk. Additionally, when the driver showed up to pick me up, I was sitting in the lobby working on my laptop. Instead of the front desk attendants at 7 AM notifying me, they did nothing. I had to go up to the desk 10 minutes later and ask where my driver was to then find out the driver had already arrived. The lobby was so dead you could hear a pin drop. The fact that these girls assumed I knew the driver was there while I was working in the corner is insanity. For all of these reasons, this hotel is beautiful, but not a well run ship.
Whilst the location is 5 star, the service most certainly is not:
- Lack of attentiveness at check-in (no assistance with luggage), at breakfast service (had to flag down waiter on two days to get coffee), at lunch service (wrong order)
- Impeachment of guest privacy / safety - twice staff walked into my room without my knowledge, one time catching me undressed
- They asked me to change rooms due to a faulty mini bar but did not offer to pack my things or carry my luggage to new room
- The door key needed resetting every day of my stay
- No assistance with luggage when leaving the hotel
Les Roches Rouges is a beautiful hotel but if you are discerning about receiving great service, you should think twice about staying.
This is where you stay when you need to recharge surrounded by nature, an ocean breeze and in an impeccably luxurious setting in the French Riviera. I have literally no complaints here. None.
