Very reasonably priced accommodation in a quiet hotel. Service and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, although decor could in some parts have done with updating. The proprietor did everything she could to make our stay comfortable.
The bar area was nice the bar lady was helpful
And did her best to help. The property was very run down the first room we had the paper was hanging off and the wall was damp and mould was growing. we were then move to another room the wallpaper was coming off the bathroom panel was broken things were cleaned but stained. The last room we actually had for the two nights again the wallpaper was coming off there's cracks in the walls and the bed cover had a dirt mark on it we think it had be washed but the Mark just didn't come out. It had seven rating until it is remodelised unfortunately a two at best shame nice old house but it made forty towers look like a palaces.

Property was clean but decor and furniture etc very tired and run down. Our bedroom was a bit cobwebbed
Charming building with friendly and welcoming staff. The room was OK. Lovely clean bathroom and room but inexplicably awful mattress with sub-standard linen.
Reasonably priced and good location. Cooked breakfast was excellent.
We booked it because we have stayed before a little while ago nice restaurant according to the website signs outside saying food etc ,etc. The photos are nothing like the website they dont do food only breakfast which you have to pay for ,the room very basic tv very complicated to use ,the bathroom very small no bath only a shower could hardly move in so very disappointed all in all
