"The resort is conveniently located near the airport. The staff were all very warm and friendly, however there's room to improve hospitality management skills. The resort infrastructure is quite extensive and ageing - unfortunately we had issues with having no or very limited hot water in two of the rooms we were moved to. The food is fresh and well prepared but the menu could do with a higher level of variety or rotation for longer stays. The gym and health spa were very convenient but the facilities require maintenance upkeep. I had a traditional massage which was one of the best I have ever received - truly blissful. I think the resort will improve as it has only recently been taken over and there is a learning curve in play. Would I go back? Yes absolutely because to spite all of these small things we loved our stay and the friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed the cultural activities and the impressive cultural night."
"We stayed in 3 resorts in Samoa during our holiday. Amoa was our favourite. This is largely due to the smaller nature of it, the staff and it just had a very relaxing vibe in general. They had daily resort activities. Since we only stayed one night we missed out on them. They had Siva dance class and flax weaving as a couple of examples. The rooms were spacious. We loved the outdoor shower!
The food was excellent. The Takoyaki - OMG so delish! The staff were just amazing and the welcome drink on arrival was much appreciated.
The resort is tucked back off the beach a bit but it is only a short walk over. You can see the beach from the dining area. Nice sandy bottom swimming. A few fish to see if snorkelling but not really worth the snorkel. They have kayaks to use as well. One person saw a turtle when swimming. Pool area is nicely laid out and there is a swim up bar.
Keep up the awesome work Amoa!"
"Plusses: comfy bed, large rooms, good snorkelling at low tide. Rock Pool bar for evening drinks is a cool spot. Close to the giant clam sanctuary and swimming with turtles! We biked to the clam/turtle location (4km) from RTP using the resort bikes. String band and buffet dinner night is a must do! Highly recommend. The matriarch of RTP is soooo lovely. We loved our chats with her and she made us feel like valued customers! Gorgeous lady. The daily updates sheet you get each morning is absolutely a great read with some good humour in it. We always looked forward to the daily updates.
Be aware: Massage was terrible and my partner said his was very very average. Went for a hot stone massage and the stones weren’t even hot. She then proceeded to try and heat them up via boiling hot water and going in and out of the room between jugs boiling, leaving me on the bed directly under air con.
Shower pressure was lacking, it would surge and a couple of times it even stopped.
Breakfast wasn’t included in our accomodation when we booked via Expedia. Buffet is $45 WST or there are menu items starting at $30 WST
Food prices in general were 90% of our costs while in Samoa. No other places nearby for dinner or lunches unless you hire a car and want to drive to another resort."
"Staff were very good. Room was adequate to my needs. Was happy could buy coffee from the from desk and the restaurant was really good and food was very nice.
The people staying were a bit noisy and there were lots of airplanes going over head but I expected all that and it didn’t bother me.
I though it was good for the money 😊"
"Bar staff were excellent, friendly and super helpful.
Actually all the staff except one were amaizing, friendly and super helpful.
We were in V9 & V10, the views were gorgeous, on the beach front, very comfortable with most things we needed.
The water appeared to be heated by solar and there was a coconut tree blocking the sun so we didn’t have any hot water after day 2! Lucky it’s lovely and hot here ☺️
Our back door latch didn’t catch properly in V9 but we still felt pretty safe.
Unfortunately our friends in V10 never got a door key to they’re unit until 3 days later, the lady who check us all in let the team down badly, she gave us no instructions but we did have a car to take us to our rooms, she couldn’t give us the key to V10 and when it was found 3 days later when the team did a service clean they locked the door after them and we had to go insearch of a key which turned up out of nowhere. Also the same lady was asked to order us a taxi for the morning of day 3 and she didn’t!
We had to go to the street and flag one down.
Other than that our stay was wonderful and the staff were fantastic."
"Staff were so friendly and amazing our whole stay. The breakfast was fresh and tons of it and especially the pikelets, a real winner for the kids.
The grounds and gardens are immaculate, all due to the hard work from the staff who would always greet us with a friendly Talofa and a beautiful smile.
The rooms oceanside were the best rooms of the 2 beach resorts we stayed at and the beach is truly picturesque and the sunset every night was better than a postcard!
The staff put on a fiafia on the last night for our family of 23 and it was as we expected, highlighting our culture.
I am definitely recommending this resort to other family members and friends and I have photos and videos to show off!!
Tofa Soifua Survivor Samoa Beach Resort and we will be back in 2027 to make more memories!!"
"Titi was so friendly and welcoming. She made us the best food we ate in Samoa. Yes the accomodation and facilities were basic but hearing the waves lapping just a few meters from where we slept paradise. Beautiful area to swim and even had turtles pop up to say hi. Would go back for sure it really is paradise"
