"I've never been a big Holiday Inn fan, and I don't travel often these days. But I needed a room for a night for an out of town funeral, booked my room here because it was close. I didn't expect much - my OLD experiences with Holiday Inn were less than stellar, which is the reason I haven't been in one literally for decades.
But boy, was I wrong! As stated, I don't often use hotels and had no clue of how drastically Holiday Inn has changed from its doldrum days in years past. My room and the hotel in general were super-clean. The bed was tough to get out of, it was so comfy. The staff is nothing short of AMAZING - very knowledgeable, very friendly, and highly accommodating.
Also: the breakfast is nothing short of amazing! It includes all of the standard cereals, yogurt, juices, etc., but also hot scrambled eggs, pork sausage, taters, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes, fruit, and more. It's a GREAT breakfast.
My experience with this Holiday Inn Express leads me to view this brand as a brand of choice that I'll purposely seek out in the future. What a pleasant surprise!"

"Room was very comfortable - could have used a lounge chair. Bathroom was spacious, had great amenities and the multi head shower with great pressure was awesome. Valet parking was prompt and accessible and the front desk staff were pleasant and eager to please. My one VERY MINOR complaint was they didn't leave coffee pods when cleaning the room so had to go down stairs for my morning coffee. Like I said, minor. Very happy with our stay overall."
"I hit a deer on my way to the motel. So I couldn’t make it there. Expedia was awful!!!! Said I could not get a refund because I didn’t pay extra! I was 2 hours away I didn’t think I would hit a deer and not make it. Expedia no remorse. No care at all. I emailed downtown inn and within 10 mins they gave me a full refund!!!! I will be staying here every time I’m in Asheville from now on! Expedia….. I will not be using them unless it’s a last resort. "
