"Run down maze. Hard to access as only one elevator. Rust stained floors and bathroom fixtures. Just old. But— Good beds and clean bedding"

"The manager or whatever guy “helped us” at the desk was rude and pretty sure high as a kite, the room was small, toilet was coming out of the wall and off the floor, it rocked when you sit on it, toilet leaked on the floor, the shampoo and conditioner they leave for you was definitely used before, the bed linens/comforter had blood spots all over it so it’s probably never been washed….. I had booked and prepaid for two nights but after our first night we found a MUCH cleaner/nicer hotel (anything could have beat this one) so I asked at checkout after day one about a refund and the rude guy said to call the manager on Monday to ask about a refund for the second day. We drove back by the hotel the next day and our room was already rented out to another set of unfortunate guests so they made double the money off us IF they don’t issue a refund for the second night I didn’t stay. We left and went to the Galveston Beach Hotel and had a much better stay day two. Do not recommend this place at all, that’s why it’s so cheap. You get less than what you pay for. This dump should be renovated thoroughly. Disgusting."

"The views were excellent. I knew going into the stay that the property itself was “nostalgic“. I honestly felt this was charming, but I understand that some people like fully updated hotels. This is very reminiscent of another time. With that said, it was clean, and it was comfortable. The lady at the front desk when we checked in was less than friendly. The ladies serving breakfast were amazingly friendly! We loved the adjoining restaurant. The hotel is within walking distance to many fun attractions. We would absolutely stay here again."
