"We booked this hotel not knowing the area and as a last-minute booking on a road trip. We were delighted to be greeted by the string lights all over the hotel grounds and had a friendly and easy check-in where we were walked personally to our room. The hotel appears to be an older motel that was well-renovated for improved grounds, accents, and amenties. I would like to see the hotel invest in better mattresses, as they were just ok, and better warmers for the breakfast food, as much was colder than ideal. I could see what other patrons mentioned as thinner walls, but I always travel with earplugs (you never know who your neighbors will be), so that didn't get in my way. The neighborhood felt safe and it was within an hour drive to many top California attractions. I would definitely stay here again."

"We absolutely loved the location right by our favorite Marina State Beach! We could have spent hours on that beautiful, long, clean stretch of sand listening to the crashing waves. Our room itself was wonderful too. Just a tiny heads-up: the hotel provides bar soap instead of body wash gel, which was a little inconvenient for us, and breakfast was just okay. The only real bump in our stay was that our neighbors were quite loud late at night. Hearing voices and laughing late into the evening made it a bit challenging with a little one in tow. We didn’t end up letting the front desk know, but it might be helpful for the hotel to gently remind guests about quiet hours. Overall, though, we had a really nice time!"

"We appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of our room. It was very spacious with 2 king beds, a large updated bathroom with great water pressure, mini fridge, microwave and a table with chairs where we enjoyed takeout. The hotel is in an area that offers amazing food options, especially Asian. Close to Monterey and nearby beaches. A great hub for us to explore Monterey Bay."
