A great pet friendly hotel right by Union Square! Great location and great prices. There is a $20 amenity fee per day that I wasn’t expecting though. Breakfast was ok (eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea, milk). They have a cat who lives in the lobby named Skittles and she is adorable! It does NOT smell like urine (like another review said). Our room was quiet, cozy, clean, and we felt safe. We wish that there was a refrigerator in the room. We gave them an 8/10 overall. We would recommend them!

Great location and enjoyable stay. The breakfast exceeded my expectations and offered everything I needed. The room was clean, and the shared bathroom was also spotless and well-maintained. The only issue was that there was no housekeeping during my three-night stay, even after I reminded the front desk in the morning. That was a little disappointing. Overall, it was still a comfortable stay, and I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, breakfast, and convenient location.

The breakfast was wonderful and just down the street in their charming French sister restaurant just a little down the block, the staff were polite and courteous, and the bathroom had this large beautiful antique bathtub. 5 stars!

When I got to the hotel, it actually said it was CLOSED and I had to complete check in at a hotel down the street (despite already having a bunch of luggage to carry around). Was very strange. Breakfast was also at the other hotel (although it was actually very good). Elevator is a super old vintage one with two doors and there is also a cat in residence (I do like cats, but would've liked to know in advance since my dog went a bit crazy). The photos on the walls are also old and it gave me a bit of a Haunted Mansion vibe. Luckily no ghosts.

Golden Gate front desk has limited hrs (closes @ 5). After hrs, the sister hotel, The Cornell front desk should be picking up phone calls; this failed me twice. And when I went to bkft the last day of my stay, there was no one @ that desk to buzz me in so I left to a nearby cafe. Otherwise it's a nice establishment with charming ambiance in a convenient location for my needs. As nice as the staff are, it needs work.
