Russian Hill Penthouse top floor contemporary condo. 2,200 square feet. San Francisco downtown and sweeping bay views with Alcatraz in the center. 3 carpeted bedrooms plus additional room/office bedroom adjacent to master bedroom for more guests. King bed in master, second bedroom with double bed, and single bed, and third bdfroom with double bed. Room adjacent to master can have portable queen and twin aerobeds for more guests. Two and half baths with double sinks, glass shower, and tub. The Jacuzzi leaks and can not be used- sorry. Huge gourmet kitchen with thermador gas cooking. Sudden hardwood living room. 70"l’ screen TV, WIFI, and washer/dryer. Three large outside decks. Completely remodeled with cathedral ceilings, and hardwood, Dining room complete with table that seats up to 8 people. Everything is sparkling clean and disinfected. Close by public transportation. Great North Beach Penthouse

The property is in a great location with view of the bay and Alcatraz Island. It is also very large and spacious by San Francisco standards. The neighborhood is safe and remarkably quiet for being so close to the North Beach bars and restaurants. I would stay again.

Great stay!

This was our second time staying here for a tradeshow at Moscone Center and is a great alternative to where we used to stay in the mission. The house is immaculate and the view is one of the best I’ve ever seen in San Francisco. This place is a gem!

This place is a fraud

This place is NOT as advertised. First off, it's a stretch to call it Russian Hill. It's North Beach. You can tell because it's100 yards from columbus. "Penthouse" is a stretch when it's simply on the top floor of a four story building. The place is very strangely laid out and looks like it was decorated by a fraternity. Black leather couches that are worn and look garage sale. Strange nook with CD's and . . . NOTHING else. Awful art everywhere with a sign saying "For sale!". Jacuzzi tub? Yeah hand sign saying it doesn't work and leaks. Hand signs everywhere saying don't use this don't use that. The building itself is awful and looks to be from 1960's and hasn't been updated or fixed since then. For example, the elevator had hand screwed in wood screws holding the door in at all kinds of strange intervals and no certificate saying it was inspected. It felt like it was going to fall down everytime you took it. There were holes (HOLES!) in the wall of the lobby with chipped and broken walls everywhere. The carpet was something that looked 30 years old and threadbare. Inside the apartment the owner gave one (ONE) threadbare towel per bedroom. The towel I received was falling apart and had foot long threads hanging off it. Meanwhile the "master bed" had some sort of flea market sheet on it and the mattress was terrible with weird lumps in it. The decor is plain awful. There's not a thing in there not from flea market. I have pix. AWFUL

Sisters trip

Very close to Fisherman’s Wharf and many activities. We could walk to many attractions and restaurants. We were there during a heat wave and there was no air conditioning but it cooled off nicely at night.

Our Home Away From Home

This property is outstanding. It is spacious, clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The deck is awesome and provides amazing views. The location is fantastic, and we loved the neighborhood. It was noticeably quiet and safe. Bill was the perfect host, and i would definitely stay here again! definitely stay here again!

Would love to give this property a higher rating as the Penthouse itself was beautiful, a nice kitchen and good location. However, the lack of the basics expected in a lodging costing $1,000/ night (with all the extra fees) resulted in the lower rating. As mentioned in other reviews, - the lack of washcloths - only 3 for 6 people, very thin pillows, master bed on the floor (which you only find out by looking through all the pictures in the listing - not mentioned in the description) missing or broken items, i.e.. curtain in room connecting master bed room to bathroom missing, Jacuzzi nonfunctioning, outlet not working - all of which could be easily rectified by the owner of he chose yo

Great location and views of San Fran

The 5th floor view was great the location allowed us to easily see the city on foot and via the street trolley. Located between Washington Square and the Wharf. Perfect.

Great Location, Amazing Views, Spacious Penthouse

The location of the penthouse is great. You can walk to the piers, shopping centers, and lots of amazing restaurants. The penthouse itself is clean and spacious. The views are incredible. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, super clean, and spacious

The apartment is incredibly clean and quite large for a San Francisco apartment. There are some very nice views and located very centrally (easy to get to Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, Chinatown, Financial District, etc.). The host is communicative and very responsive. Definitely would like to stay again!

Location was perfect. Clean and quiet.

Within one mile of all attractions. No fire station or hospital near by. Worth the climb from the bay for the peace. Great views of Alcatraz.

Magical Spot

I’ve lived in sf for 7 years. My family is moving east and as a last hurrah we booked this property with a group of close friends. All I can say is wow! Absolutely stunning, excellent location, wonderful views and very comfortable. Bill the property owner was splendid, communicated welll, and was a very nice guy. 10/10 would recommend this property.

Amazing San Francisco Location!

This was our first visit to San Francisco and we could not have chosen a better place to stay! The home was beautiful and comfortable and Bill, the host, was amazing! He checked in several times during our stay to make sure everything was going well and answered any questions we had. The property is very conveniently located. Within walking distance to Fisherman’s Warf, grocery shopping, and public transportation. We did not rent a car and only took an Uber twice while we were there. I would highly recommend and hope we have an opportunity to visit again in the future!

Easy access to the city

This place was very nice with some great views. Walking distance to may restaurants and Trader Joe's for groceries. Uber rides were fast and put all the tourist spots within reach from a central location.

Family Holiday

Great location and within easy walking to some excellent local cafes and restaurants. Property was really spacious with some fabulous views over the Bay. Would highly recommend.

Great place at a great location (March 2024)

We agree with many of the positive reviews about this property. We stayed at this property for 4 nights in March 2024. It is a very spacious place with everything necessary for a pleasant visit. The location is in a quiet area and is very convenient, within walking distance to tourist attractions, shops and good restaurants. I It also has a great view of Alcatraz Island. We had some remote work to do, and found the small office space next to the master bedroom very useful, and conducive to work. Communication with the host was very efficient, and the check in/out was very simple. All in all a great property and we would love to stay there again given the opportunity

Perfect place for a family

My girlfriend and my two kids (12, 16) spent a week there and we loved it. Clean, spacious, easy to use, great location, easy communication with the owner. My kids were calling it "home" after a couple of days.

The host charged me extra fees that were not listed in the description of the property. He has a camera outside the door that he did not disclose which is against VRBO policy.

Great location - impressively clean!

We had the best stay! We (our work team) come to San Francisco every year and this was our best stay yet! The check in process was easy, the place has a lot of space and immaculately clean. Great communication with Bill throughout our stay. Great neighborhood and could walk to everything in North Beach. Thank you so much!
