It is a beautifully preserved example of Norman architecture and we felt very privileged to stay there . Gisela is a very responsive and helpful host who provides lots of information about restaurants and places to visit locally . "Property: Fantastic pool (large, deep with diving board) which was cleaned daily. Plenty of space in the kitchen and bedrooms with air conditioning throughout.Location: Beautiful views of Contursi Terme, interesting Italian hillside roads to access the villa (these got easier with experience!).Surrounding Area: Good access to the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Naples.Host: Salvatore is very accommodating and an impressive pizzaiolo (you must accept his offer to cook pizza in the wood-fired oven!)Overall we had a fantastic week, and our teenage children said it's the best summer holiday they've had! Staff generally not friendly or helpful. Did not offer to assist bags up or down the hotel steps for guests in their senior years. WiFi practically useless. Kept dropping out "
