"This was a lovely old hotel with perfect attention to detail. We had dinner there both nights (area is quite remote) and were not disappointed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. If we are this way again we’ll definitely be staying again. "

"Fabulous stay . A really magical experience . Special to have a personal tour of the Castle with Antonio. It is a beautifully preserved example of Norman architecture and we felt very privileged to stay there . Gisela is a very responsive and helpful host who provides lots of information about restaurants and places to visit locally . Teggiano is a delightful town and we hope to be able to return to the Castle . Definitely highly recommend . Thank you Gisela "

"Property: Fantastic pool (large, deep with diving board) which was cleaned daily. Plenty of space in the kitchen and bedrooms with air conditioning throughout.Location: Beautiful views of Contursi Terme, interesting Italian hillside roads to access the villa (these got easier with experience!).Surrounding Area: Good access to the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Naples.Host: Salvatore is very accommodating and an impressive pizzaiolo (you must accept his offer to cook pizza in the wood-fired oven!)Overall we had a fantastic week, and our teenage children said it's the best summer holiday they've had! Thanks Salvatore!"

"Communication was a real problem. I wonder if staff were discouraged from trying to understand English. My Italian came from Google translate and even that was a disaster. Staff generally not friendly or helpful. Did not offer to assist bags up or down the hotel steps for guests in their senior years. WiFi practically useless. Kept dropping out "
