Easy beach access

Beach was great, and the roof top pool was great. A bit of a walk to get to restaurants, so we used Uber a lot, and it was quick and cost effective.

Wow, the owners clearly put a lot of thought into this and covered absolutely every detail. From quarters and soap for the excellent washer/dryer, just the right amount of coffee to keep us going a couple days, plenty of towels, more than enough of all the basics such as soap/paper/trash bags and all the items you could possibly need for the beach (chairs, coolers with bag of ice waiting in freezer, life jackets, game paddles, ect.). The view from the rooftop pool area was absolutely stunning and was our favorite spot, but there is also a lovely private porch for sitting in the evening to hear great night sounds from the small garden next door along with the waves. I was a little concerned about getting to use the pool area as it is shared, but the space is large with several nice areas spread out so it could easily see more than one family using it at once. Originally, 6 in my family were going to be on our trip. It ended up being 4 of us and it was absolutely perfect for our group. It would have been tight with 6, a little uncomfortable on the other bed which is in a nook tucked beside the kitchen, but we could have done it. Just might want to keep in mind if you have more than 4 or 5 people (technically we could have squeezed a 5th person in the second bedroom pretty easily) you would hope the ones in the open area want to wake up with everyone else.

Lovely property, great location!

I would love to leave a negative review so this place is always available, but I just can't. It is well situated in a neighborhood not far from great restaurants. The beach is across the street and very easy to access. We enjoyed the terrace and roof top area. It is very comfortable and a lovely property!

Great location & communication - Some updates needed

The apartment is very close to the beautiful beach and there are many walkable restaurants and shops within walking distance. Uber was easy and affordable for the times we left the neighborhood. Inside, the apartment could use some attention. There was peeling paint throughout, a broken kitchen cabinet door standing ajar in the entrance, and the master bathroom pocket door was completely stuck halfway open. We were informed of this upon arrival, but it was implied that it would be fixed during our stay. It was not. This meant squeezing through the narrow space several times a day. The grill next to the pool needs a thorough cleaning.All of that said, these are things that are easily fixed, and we had a wonderful stay. The rooftop pool was so nice and there were beach chairs, towels, and even life jackets that meant we had everything we needed for the short walk to the beach. Ana was wonderful with communication and recommendations.

Beautiful

Perfect for the 4 of us. Liked having the pool area and the other patio. Plenty of room and everything you need from dishes to beach towels. The beach is right there. It is a popular beach area. Very Clean! On some of the excursions they pick you up down the street or a couple streets over which made it nice not to rent a car. A "good" walking distance to some of the nicer eating places but there are plenty of eating places closer too. Check in was very easy.

Million dollar views

We had such a lovely time here. The rooftop pool was amazing for my 6 year old. I thought the waves and rip tides were bad in this area so I was surprised to have perfect size waves and no under currents. Watching the kite surfers was an added bonus. Isabelle adopt me as your daughter! 😆 The restaurants near the area are delicious and if you want to stay home lots of choices for food on Doordash. Thank you for everything ❤️.

Amazing location and great communication

We stayed here in June with a group of 6 adult friends. The location was even better than we expected, literal steps away from a beach entrance at one of the most popular spots. Also the pool is amazing, with a great view and nice depth variation where you can hang out and play games all day. Even though it was shared we had zero issues splitting time with the other group, it felt private. The only thing I would say is that 6 people is probably the most I would want in this condo with the extra person fee and sleeping accommodations. Finally I have to add that communication from the host was flawless, which was especially nice since we weren’t familiar with PR. She also went above and beyond to return some forgotten belongings to us. All around 5 stars and would stay again.

Great Location, Updates needed, Communication with Ana was great.

My review will be very similar to the previous guest review. The apt is close to the beautiful beach and the rec restaurants and shops are within walking distance. It was so nice to have beach chairs and towels provided. The view from the top floor pool was lovely. It was nice have a generator. Unfortunately, the apartment could use a lot of attention. There was peeling paint throughout, the MBR bathroom pocket door did not work and was stuck halfway open. We were told the door would be repaired; it was not. However, in reading the previous review, the door was also broken for them and they too were told the door would be repaired. The kitchen cabinet door was broken. Both bedrooms need new mattress’, bedding and furniture updates.The grill next to the pool really is not functional because it is so dirty. The bathrooms need a deep cleaning. Bathroom electric receptacle did not work. When we had reserved parking, it was great. But, our 1st day through 11:00 am the next day we had no parking. Be advised the street is used for beach parking. Also, be advised that this is a 3-story walk-up and the pool is a floor above the apartment, which is shared with the apartment below. Overall, our trip to PR was wonderful, apt location is great, communication with Ana was prompt.We would return, if the updates suggested were address.

Amazing Penthouse Condo just steps from the beach! Private, Safe and Amazing!

I just got back with my fiance and a small group of friends. This place is amazing, has everything that you need. The condo felt very safe and we were probably in the best area in San Juan. We walked to restaurants, beach, cafe's, etc. The beach was literally 15 steps away from the front door of the condo. Isabel and her friend Anna are very nice, they even provide beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, goggles, etc. Inside the condo is very modern and chic. The only thing we had to buy from the store was food, liquor and supplies. She had utensils and some seasonings but we bought charcoal for the rooftop grill as well as lighter fluid. We had a barbeque on the rooftop while enjoying cocktails and swimming in the pool. The pool was warm since the weather was really nice this time of year. It was nice and cool and felt refreshing in the hot weather. Overall, this place was very nice and the owners are accommodating.

Heaven in Condado, Luxurious and Pure Paradise

This apartment was beyond PERFECT, pure definition of a Penthouse. The apartment is so clean, spacious and modern. Love the living room and balcony off of the living room, I would just lay out on the lounge chairs and listen to the ocean at night. The bedrooms are beyond comfortable and love that the AC works really well, definitely a +. Ivelisse was beyond delightful, very sweet, understanding and accommodating. Anna, very accommodation, laid back, and helpful. Thank you both for EVERYTHING!! Now on to the private rooftop w/ pool, now this itself makes it all worth it. The rooftop is breathtaking. The view itself is priceless, the breeze throughout the day and night is perfect. The pool is awesome and definitely a ++. The rooftop is a perfect setting for a nice brunch / dinner. the pictures do no do this apartment justice, you guys actually have to stay here and see it to believe it. Isabel has thought of everything and put it all into this penthouse apartment. If I could give this review 7 stars I would. Thanks again for everything Isabel, Anna and I Elise. You guys Rock and are the perfect definition of a Team! Will definitely return!! :)

What More Could You Ask for in a Vacation Home?

We are a group of 4 ladies who have traveled together every February for the past 20 years. We originally planned to go to a different place every year, but then we discovered Puerto Rico. And after 2 years staying in hotels, we discovered Isabel. The first year with her we stayed at Arena (her property down the street) and this year was our 4th year at Sol. We are already booked for next year. The apartment is freshly painted and is appointed with just about anything you would need. But of course it is the outdoor access that is the gem of this property. What can you say about a roof top deck complete with a lovely little pool, a bathroom and a built in barbeque? The view is perfection...waves on the ocean, pelicans, swaying palm trees, kite surfers and more. We watch for cruise ships coming in and out of port. We marvel at the clear skies and brilliant stars at night while listening to the song of the coqui. Don't feel like going up top? Step out on to Sol's huge, private balcony for nearly the same view. If you need to feel the sand between your toes, you are one house away from the beach. We have always felt very comfortable walking to local businesses, even in the evening. Walgreens, Kassalta Bakery, Cueva del Mar, and the Super Max grocery store are frequent stops for us. The Uber service here is so convenient and all of our drivers were friendly, knowledgeable and safe on the road. If there is anything that you need, Ana is literally a text away. She is always so helpful and she always has a smile on her face. If you are on the fence about visiting Puerto Rico, do not hesitate. Book your flight and help this beautiful island with your tourism dollars. #PuertoRicoSeLevanta

Loved it!

This is the first time I have used this website to book a stay so I was understandably very nervous to hand over my credit card number and run the risk of being disappointed with the unit we booked. But- I can't stress enough how happy we were with the apartment! It was very clean and very spacious (only 4 stayed but there was definitely room for more). Just be aware that only four will sleep in private rooms and the living room area is quite bright in the morning hours (for those having to sleep there). That is my only criticism of the whole place because, although not as bright as the living room, the bedrooms were also pretty bright. I love to sleep in dark rooms, especially when on vacation and that is the only reason I rated it a 4 instead of a 5. The owner thought of everything you could possibly need- except hair conditioner, make sure to bring some. Ha! I say that jokingly because we were so impressed with all that was there for our use and comfort. There was free wifi (we had trouble with it once but once we told Ana about it, it was fixed and ready to go), beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, laundry detergent, a good blow dryer (I'm a female; it's important), iron and ironing board, body wash, all kitchen tools and appliances, a speaker to play your music... the list goes on and on! The showers, water pressure and temperature were great! I think that's very important especially when you've been out ALL day in the heat and humidity (and since you're not staying a large hotel/resort you wonder what you'll get). The location is perfect! The apartment is right next to the beach, literally 15-30 steps away which we loved and took advantage of! It's 10 minutes from Viejo San Juan and the airport. And everything else is relatively close, too but that is because the island is so small. Although the pool and deck is shared with a few other units, the times we used it, we were alone so I wouldn't worry about that too much. And, if you think about it, at a resort you're sharing with a lot of people so even if you share with one other group, you're in a better off here than there. Overall, this was a great location/apartment and I would consider renting it again if I ever return to Puerto Rico. If you book, you won't be disappointed!

Customer service, location and views (from the 6)

The rental process was a breeze and Isabel kept up with our email exchanges. Upon arrival, we met with Ana, who was a God send! I was going to a wedding and had not booked hair services. She immediately gave me her hairdresser's info and crisis averted. She was always a text away! If you need anything, text Ana. She will resolve whatever issue you may encounter. The cleaning ladies were very helpful as well. We could not find a pan for eggs and one of them immediately brought us one. Later in the week, during our stay, she brought a new set of pans. Your comfort really matters to them. The apartment is exactly as described. The rooftop pool is above the kitchen area, hence the slanted roof in the nook/kitchen area. Another group of 8 was renting Mar, the apartment below Sol, and we were not bothered by noise. They even had a oookout on the rooftop, and we did not hear any walking or moving of furniture. The only "noise" you could hear (only in the kitchen and living room area) was whenever people would talk going up to the pool. But never heard other guests when we were in the bedrooms. Originally, we were going to rent Mar because of the layout (Mar is completely enclosed). But Sol's balcony won me over! It does not have the rooftop view, of course... but you have privacy and can still enjoy some beach views, tan, enjoy your breakfast or drinks, and even workout in that balcony. If you don't have mobility issues, it should not be a problem going up and down the stairs. Carrying large suitcases (family of 4 attending a formal wedding) to the PH was a good workout so keep this in mind. We rented a car due to the different wedding activities we were participating during the week. Isabel reserved a spot for us (the earlier you book, the higher the probability of getting the parking spot). If you are just staying local, forgo the car and use Uber. Fares are cheaper than in continental USA. We used Uber for the wedding and worked like a charm; about $4 from the condo to the Art Museum of PR. We walked to almost everywhere while staying in Sol. Pharmacy, restaurants, shops, bars. I grew up in PR and let me tell you, the location is as safe as it gets. I'm already planning our next stay in any of Isabel's apartments. Isabel and staff made a repeat customer out of me!

Family Vacation

This apartment was in the perfect location. We explored Puerto Rico from this home base for a week. It had everything we needed for a family of 5 with three kids 10 and under, and we always has the beach, the pool, and an incredible view to come home to.

Amazing

Don't even know where to start. My family and I had an amazing experience in Puerto Rico here. The location is absolutely perfect right across the street from the beach in a residential neighborhood. You walk through a cool little path and you're right on the beach with naturally shaded areas from the palm trees. The beach is not crowded at all as it seems only some locals go to this section of the beach. It is walking distance from amazing bars and restaurants and just a short Uber ride from Old, San Juan or places outside of Ocean Park. We had 5 people staying in this verbo comfortably and had everything we needed from cookware to Beach gear. Breathtaking views from the terrace off the living room and the roof top pool. The host was fantastic and very responsive with all of my questions. Our only complaint is that we had to leave this oasis. We were so sad it had to come to an end but we will definitely be back one day.

Location, Location, Location!!!

Wonderful location - literally steps away from beach. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels provided for your convenience.Staff was friendly and responded quickly to all calls and texts.Listing says sleeps 8. I would say 7 at max. Beds were comfortable and clean. Pictures show 2 single beds in solarium area. There was only oneUnfortunately the pool was not useable during our stay but a refund credit was offered for the inconvenience. Hope they are able to fix soon - would have been nice to have available even with the ocean so close.Free laundry available right out the door to unit. Even provided the soap.Would not hesitate to recommend. Was a wonderful stay

Great vacation in Puerto Rico

Our stay in this condo was great. It was very clean and had all the essentials you could want (towels, dishes, beach chairs, etc) and it is a few steps to the beach. The waves in front of the condo were a bit strong. The rooftop pool was nice, but you do need to share with the other condo so it wasn’t always available. The communication was great as well. We received timely info and all our questions were answered.

Puerto Rico spring break

Excellent communication with owners, very nice place with good access to beach. Depending on who is near you in other units may be a little noisy, not surprising for spring. Only reason for 4star on listings is whoever did photos is excellent and it’s not quite as nice as photos. My daughter who lives in San Juan wished that she could live there though so it is nice, beds comfy etc.

A warm and beautiful stay!

Isabel, Ana and Ivelisse made our time so beautiful and joyful! We slept to the sounds of the ocean! The generator and the water tank came in handy whenever there were outages. The hospitality was incredible! Anything we needed, we got a prompt and thoughtful response from Ana.

Family Stay

We enjoyed the access to the beach, just steps outside of the apartment, and views of the beach from the rooftop pool and balconies. Many cafes and restaurants are a short walk. The kitchen is well equipped. The beach chairs and toys were a nice touch
