The front desk staff at check-in was somewhat rude; I asked for a different agent when I could not communicate with the first one (although the agent at check-out was quite pleasant). The carpet gave off a musty odor, and it took two calls to get someone to attempt to do something about it (the first call resulted in a housekeeper showing up with a sprayer bottle and expecting me to deal with the problem myself. The USB plug-in data connection did not work, although I managed to figure out a work-around. The breakfast staff was overworked, but nevertheless cheerful and reasonably efficient considering how overextended it was. Because the reservation was made through a third party, the stay did not qualify for loyalty program points, which stinks--not the fault of the property or Expedia, but nevertheless a disappointment which marred the experience.

The hallways were dirty (towels on the floor) and the elevator was dirty (flower seed shells all over the floor).

Room was clean but had a bad smell. We had to buy some air freshener. The kitchen has no dishes or cooking utensils. Kitchen drawers would not close. There is a $10 per day parking fee. This info was not disclosed on booking description or upon check in. Did not know about it until we saw charge on bank statement. They said $10 charge was specified on blue ticket they give you to put in car window. There was some very small writing on ticket. That we obviously did not read.
