"This place is in a great location in downtown Panama City, Panama, but the building is infected with roaches. We had to kill at least ten roaches in the apartment that we were staying in. I messaged the host to send a exterminator, but he never did. The hot water heater also doesn't work. The hot water only stayed on for about 5 minutes, in the bathroom shower and then it was cold again. The maintenance guy came twice, but it didn't work. We took lukewarm to cold showers while we stayed there....

"If you are looking for a basic apartment with bare minimum, then this is great! It’s referenced as luxury, but there was a sheet on each bed, pillows were flat, only a couch for 2-3 ppl & dining chairs. The photos shows the unit well decorated, but it’s pretty bare upon arrival. The cleanliness also could be better. Parking was also tight, so smaller car recommended. Gave it 4 stars overall, as it was $79/ night when we rented. So got what we paid for."

"View is nice. Pool is nice. The apartment is pretty bare bones. Only sheets to cover yourself at night. Like 5 clothes hangers to share between all the rooms. The air conditioning unit in the living room didn’t cool, but the ones in the rooms could freeze you out. The chairs in the dinning area were pretty beat up. The guys at reception were friendly. "The property is not called New Modern Ocean View - very misleading for locating the complex. Local cab drivers or Uber drivers had difficulty finding it, the name of this property is HP Boutique Del Mar. The property is about two years old and is still going through growing pains.The property manager who has the office in the building speaks English and was a great help with issues we presented her with. "No remote to turn off one bedroom a/c. (We couldn't use that bedroom., it was too cold), The unit needs some attention. Bare minimum in the kitchen for cooking. We liked that it was roomy and that there was a garage. Pool looked beautiful too."

"Beware of this host. This host confirmed my reservation and then went MIA the day of check-in. I was stuck in the lobby of the building with my whole family and no access to the unit. VRBO tried to contact him with no success. I had to scramble to find another place last minute which ended up costing more. Beware."

"This apartment is adequate but is not comfortable for a long stay. We stayed 6 weeks. The owner was responsive to most of our requests. The low beds may be difficult for seniors to navigate."

"I booked this location at the beginning and end os my trip. Second time they claimed i didn't pay even though my credit card statement shows I did, they canceled my reservation a few days before check in which left me scrambling to book another. I would've have if i would have already stayed there. Black mold on ceiling in master bedroom, finicky hot water, great washer and dryer, smooth elevator, Really hard to find even people from Panama couldn't find it. "
