"We had a wonderful stay in La Zinobita. Giuseppe and Cinzia were welcoming, kind and helpful hosts. The house was clean, comfortable and well kept with Giuseppe cleaning the pool early every morning. There were several terraces to enjoy the sun or shade. The pool was lovely with super views. The property is very well situated within easy reach of the centre and no problems parking outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year."

These contracts do not mirror the conditions within hotels.com. I immediately tried to contact the hotel without luck. "What a shame, the entire region of Pescia is beautiful but everything at this cottage is awful. Its totally bizarre and weird and so so dirty. Honestly i doubt the place has ever been dusted once which is just disgusting. The shower curtain was full of mould.. bugs everywhere it was a literal disaster, not any normal persons idea of a vacation. It stinks of mould and kerosene inside, which then becomes a safety concern as well. Thankgoodness we were able to refund one night because we could...

"Je krijgt niet wat je beloofd. De foto’s kloppen niet. Zit nu voor veel geld in een armoedig onderkomen met boven mij schreeuwende en lawaaierige eigenaren die zelf het dakterras bewonen dat via Belvilla (beschrijving en foto’s) aan mij beloofd was. Na 13.30 uur geen zon meer. Echt onacceptabel voor dit geld. De oplossing die weliswaar werd bedacht na mijn klachten hierover, is ver onder de maat. Ik ga niet meer met Belvilla in zee en na de vakantie schrijf ik een artikel over mijn ervaringen....
