"I had to book into Scandic while waiting for my emergency passport to arrive. This took four days but during that time I was made to feel very welcome, staff could not do enough to help especially one of the Reception Staff Jennifer. She called DHL customer services on my behalf to organise the pickup of my passport. She was my angel, helping calm me during a very stressful time. I will be forever grateful for her help. (Their breakfasts are amazing too!)"

"Love this hotel for early flights, easy 3 minute walk to airport. Helpful, friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast buffet, and begins at 3:30am.The green juice is tops!"

"Really lovely old hotel within 3 minutes walk of the station. Spacious and comfortable and lovely staff. Slightly limited dinner menu but what we ate was delicious and good quality. Fabulous breakfasts too and comfy beds after walking the Gotaleden trail."

"The public areas are lovely - the space in front of the mansion, the breakfast/restaurant room with amazing views over the lake. It has lots of history, and the lobby is typically Swedish in its effortless cool. The room was a little less impressive. For the cost it was basically two adjoining conference rooms with very little in the way of comfort, and a very small, disappointingly dated bathroom. The view from the window was pleasant enough, over the road, but the building was incredibly poor in terms of soundproofing. The crystal clear sound of the resident above in the midst of his extraordinarily long urinations was just one of the sounds we really didn't need to hear. Again, the public areas in these buildings (all conference spaces) were well-furnished and geared up to team-building, it would seem. I would imagine there are a lot of such events through the year, and in July, when most businesses in Sweden are not operating anywhere near capacity, the hotel has more 'regular' guests. It would be good if there was a little more effort made for these guests, given the lovely location of the mansion. It is what attracted us, but really, what we got was an hour of that for breakfast, and a 1980s/90s conference space for the rest of the time. There wasn't even an outside space in our 'block', although one block did have one. That would be a pleasant and easily made addition to each block - the rooms are pretty small, so anything extra would be a bonus. "

"This was my second visit. Close to airport, clean and quiet. Cold breakfast buffet of cereals, yoghurt, bread and chilled spreads as well as chilled breakfast sandwiches. There may have been a toaster oven for those, not sure. Coffee machine. My only issues are that they list in-room AC, but there is no in-room control, just a vent. AC was not on during my July stay, but it was a cool day and an open window was good enough. The only other issue is that they use door codes for all entrances and rooms. Between the hotel and Expedia, my door code couldn't be found for a while. The desk clerk was kind enough to let me into my room and they found the code before I had to leave for a meeting, so it all worked out. "
