"We needed a landing spot for a long drive to the beach and this place fit the bill. In fact, many of the guests were doing the same thing. Check in was easy. Property is dated but obviously cared for. Rooms were clean and updated. Paint was peeling off the bathroom door, but it didn’t bother us. We arrived in time to sit by the pool for a few minutes but before we could do that, we had to sign a waiver. The pool was supervised by management and rules were clearly posted. Sometimes places like this don’t have well maintained pools. We were impressed with the condition of this pool and the chairs. We drove down the road to a Mexican grill close by for dinner. The hotel breakfast consisted of seriously awesome coffee but we passed on the prepackaged sweet rolls and walked across the road to Waffle House. Overall, this is a great spot for what we needed."
