"We stayed in the Seashell room at Tarpon Tale Inn and will absolutely be back. Joe greeted us on arrival and walked us through all the amenities available to guests — beach towels, chairs, an umbrella, even a beach cart — which made packing so much easier. Since we drove to Sanibel, it was a relief not to have to cram all that gear into the car. The Seashell room itself is cute and just the right size: a queen bed, a small comfy chair with a coffee table, and a little dining table, plus a mini fridge/freezer and microwave. There's also a nice patio out front (bring bug spray — Sanibel bugs are no joke!). The location is a huge plus. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, so we skipped the hassle and expense of the island's limited beach parking entirely — we loaded up the provided beach cart and walked right down. A handful of shops (gifts, ice cream, restaurants) are within easy reach too. All in all, I highly recommend Tarpon Tale Inn. It's a small, family-run inn on Sanibel that gives you nearly everything you need for an easy, relaxing beach trip."

"We had a nice trip but we came in on Labor Day, which was a little too busy full for our liking, the beds were not great and the A/C did not cool down enough ..but if you want more action and music playing all day this is your spot! And True Beachfront property"

"Our stay was excellent. We did not want to leave! We spent a great deal of our time soaking up the amazing view. A relaxing spacious stay well stocked with many necessities and extras. The private beach was a bonus. We would stay here again."

"Cute little cottage. The shower was Quite small. Could have used another table for kitchen prep, dish drying, etc but we made it work. Free bicycles and some beach stuff. Outdoor shower/Clean up area. Great beaches!! Overall great stay on Sanibel Island!"

"The property was clean and absolutely gorgeous. The pictures honestly didn't do it justice. The hospitality was great! The communication was top notch, but they weren't too much at all. Great privacy! Beach was steps away from the elevator. The location was wonderful! It was secluded but everything we needed was very close by. Sanibel Island was a 10 minute drive at most! We are only going to stay at this property in the future."

"Our cottage was great! It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have porch areas out front and back and it was an easy walk to the beach and restaurant/ice cream shop. It was also nice to have the small pool to cool off in. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Sanibel!"
