The place was great. The staff was a great help with transportation and finding restaurants. The breakfast was very good. I think traditional Turkish, not western but adequate for us to get going for the day. I would stay here again if I came back.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the old city. Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is ok but could be improved. Location is within easy walking distance of everything to see in the old city. Driving and parking in the area could be problematic. Overall excellent choice with a very reasonable price.

Exceptional place to stay

Our stay at Kaliruha was wonderful. The hotel was designed well in converting old stone homes into a charming hotel. The accomodations were comfortable and the room was nice and clean. The AC was more than sufficient to keep the room comfortable despite the high heat outside. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The outside courtyards were great for sitting and chatting in the evening.

This is a really nice place to stay. Beautiful rooms and lovely courtyards planted with grapes figs and pomegranates. Mohammed was very helpful with whatever I asked for. Generous breakfasts. Quiet place. I loved it.

Perfect

Really enjoyed our stay here.Directions off hotel right to the parking area where excellent.Check in was smooth and we were soon in our room. This was lovely, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good,and plenty of it. All the staff were pleasant and Baris is a very nice fella and nothing was to much trouble for him.

Amazing stay in Old Town

Amazing stay. Barish was excellent in making us feel like family. With a little Turkish, a little English and Google translate, we were able to converse as friends. Always supportive and helpful with an offer of chai, the staff is wonderful! Barish was even able to set us up with a driver for Gobeklitepe and helped several days. Our room was beautiful and clean. We loved staying in the old town to walk around to the bazaar and Abraham holy site. So many good things to say. We will return. Tessikir ederim.

Superb choice for the historic centre

Look no further if you want to stay in the historic centre. Modern hotels can be in soulless locations miles from the main sights. And old town hotels can be damp and unwelcoming in winter. The Kaliruha is therefore a special find. The rooms are stunning but they are also warm and inviting. The wonderful bazaar and other main sights are well within walking distance. And above all the welcome is warm and the support excellent. Highly recommended. For a cheap and fun arrival, take the airport bus to the last stop, buy a bus ticket from the security booth at the bus station to the south (50m). Look over the main road and you will see a 63 bus waiting to take you to within 200m of the hotel.

Such a nice hotel with weak management skills. I believe they have good intentions but for better communication they need to be educated. With my private car I spent 45 minutes to reach to the hotel while my google map and waze were showing 5 minutes. All the streets are very narrow and the navigation kept trying me to use the narrow streets. And the hotel blames me that I don’t have a local number which I don’t have to have it. They supposed to call me from my overseas number and explain the procedure which is parking somewhere else and walking to hotel that were 200 metres away NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! I know it’s an issue but they have to mention when we were booking !!!

Die Anlage sah aus wie 1001 Nacht. Ich hatte auch drei Jacken im Zimmer vergessen, die wurden mir zugeschickt, worüber ich Mega dankbar war. Der Service war nett, freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben den Fahrer vom Hotel gebucht für einige Ortschaften, er ist vorsichtig gefahren, er war informativ und war sehr höflich und nett.

Bellissimo hotel nella zona vecchia della città, 2 minuti a piedi dal bazar e 20 dai musei. Le stanze sono attorno a 2 bei cortili interni. C’è parcheggio convenzionato vicino. La stanza era ampia con soffitto a volta, letto comodo, AC funzionante. Buona colazione a buffet. Il sig Basir proprietario è gentilissimo e ti spiega come muoverti. Solo il bagno è migliorabile, la pendenza della doccia non è giusta e il bagno è un po’ piccolo.

I booked this online not knowing anything about the area and just by the reviews mostly We got there at dusk. Not knowing anything about the area arriving was a little iffy. This place was awesome!!! The staff, the room, the grounds, the area. The staff was awesome even though we didn’t speak their language and they didn’t speak ours. Thank goodness for ITranslate.
