"Spent two days here, very quiet town, very clean hotel with lovely caring staff. Roof top pool wonderful, with great views and cocktails. Ghaxaq is a quiet town with few dining out options, but if you’re looking for somewhere quiet away from the busyness of Valetta, highly recommend. Close to airport too. "

You also have to take advantage of the opportunity to go to Ta’ Cenc cliffs and use their loungers and swim in the cove. Amazing! "We had a wonderful two night stay at the Xara Palace. We were offered an upgrade (paid for) the the Presidential Suite on arrival - it was 100% worth it. The space was fabulous, wonderful bathroom and lounge area. The hotel has a private, secluded feel. The pool (5mins drive) is extremely relaxing, wonderful service from Noor and Izor who drove us there each day. Would recommend a drink on the terrace if possible, the champagne trolley is fantastic. "Great location in the centre of Valletta just right for exploring the city and close to all forms of transport to visit the rest of the island too. Staff make you very welcome in the hotel - rooms, breakfast and facilities were great and no the pool isn't too cold. Local restaurants are good we didn't have a bad meal and they were well priced. If you need snacks then a visit to the local Spar shop is a must - it's not like the ones at home! We will definitely be returning to Malta 😀"
