"The hotel and staff was one of the best we have been too and the breakfast buffet offered was amazing with so much variety. The only negative thing noticed is the “security” person that stands there extremely rude making a “shhhhhhh” sound to my kids who were laughing on the first floor. Very strange and unwelcoming. "

"Great stay - perfect for our needs. Right on the beach yet easy enough to get into the city. Metro about a 10-15 min walk and direct train to centre. Very cool vibe - my 18 year old daughter loved the hotel - we especially liked the roof top bar and pool. If you don’t have breakfast included and want to venture elsewhere there are beach cafes/restaurants within a 5 min walk that do good brunch (some are closed Mon and Tues - but not all). Rooms really nice, super clean, with fantastic sea/marina/beach view. Would be useful to have an airer to dry wet swimwear/towels as it’s tricky to get anything dry. Helpful and friendly staff. The railway runs behind the marina/hotel and building work currently ongoing in that area but couldn’t hear it at all. Good soundproofing in rooms - very quiet hotel. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to combine city break with time by pool/at beach. Will definitely try and return. "

"The staff were super nice & very accommodating. We were greeted with smiles & all of our questions were taken care of even though we did not speak the language. The girls at reception printed off maps for us & showed us how to get to where we wanted to go to meet up with our friends. Our luggage was stored safely until we were ready to leave for the airport which was such a great help to us given we were not flying home till very late this evening. Thank you to Dominico & all the desk staff for looking after us so well. We will definitely be recommending the Hotel Astoria to any friends who decide to visit Barcelona..."
