Lovely stay, well equipped. Very clean and a good location. Lovely pool however was quite cold and needed a net to clean the tree debris from the pool. Overall a great villa.
Persephone is in a quiet area, with a beautiful private pool, lovely gardens and pergola. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.
Thoroughly recommended.
Amazing villa. Check in process so easy (lockbox for keys) every item you could possibly think of / need. Really beautiful setting. There is also a little pathway followed by some steps that takes you straight down to the bakery/bar and restaurant - be sure to find it as it makes it a very quick 4minute walk. High recommend
Everything described in the Villa Persephone listing was accurate and perfect. Check in and check out was fabulous, as was the communication with the hosts and concierge. Thank you to Guillaume, Berengere and Glen. You were so helpful and you have a beautiful place
We’ve been staying in various villas in Binibeca for over a decade. This stands out as one of the very best.
Pros
Great layout
Comfortable beds (not easy to find in Binibeca!)
New furniture
Response hosts
Cons
Dated kitchen (but most villas in the area have a dated kitchen)
Poor internet
Slightly further from central Binibeca Nou (not that it really matters!)
I’ll certainly be booking again!
We loved the villa and it's location, the aircon was very much appreciated in the high temperatures as was the pool. We had free Wifi and the kitchen had all the crockery, utensils and mod cons. The bedrooms have loads of storage with 2 having ensuite. We spent most nights out on the veranda eating al fresco, watching the gecko's! We enjoyed the walks into the local village where the people are so friendly. Binibeca Vell and Binibeca Beach are a must for anyone who stays, and also a walk down to Punta Prima was enjoyable.
Diana is so helpful, we didn't need for anything and would book again in a heartbeat!
Villa Persephone you were fantastic, and were more than expected!

Nice villa but could use some maintenance
We have just returned from an enjoyable 2 week stay but the villa definitely needs some work/maintenance doing. There were exposed wires in the hallway, the mixer unit in the main bathroom was broken with the tap head constantly coming off making if very difficult to shower/bath, there was mould on the curtains in one of the master bedrooms, the plug sockets in one of the twin bedrooms were coming away from the wall, one plug socket in the dining area had been covered with masking tape as it was obviously not working and the curtains in the living room had what looked like chocolate stains on them (I would have attached photos but it is not an option) Despite this we did enjoy our stay although the area is not overly buggy friendly.

Villa Persephone, we love you!
Villa Persephone, we love you and will come back!
Five stars is not enought for rating this lovely villa.
From the first contact with Diana, the owner, everything went smooth, the villa is indeed wellequipped, a short walk from the village and beach.
We were four adults and two children so we decided to rent two small cars(Victoria cars) one fixed price nothing added, we drove around the island, discovered beaches and villages.
Our topbeach apart from the Binibeca playa was Es Grau, shallow water and a very nice village.
Back to the villa, the POOL, we all spend hours in it, surrounded by pinetrees we had both sun and shade, twice a week a poolman came to clean so the water was indeed very fresh.
We cooked meals in the house, the kitchen contained everything, we sat on the terraze overlooking the garden and pool after dinner we turned on the poollight and went for another swim above us the stars, magical!
The only thing we missed was a clear writing on the subject WiFi, it is not included in the rent but can be added(some 50 euro/week) by phoning the local caretaker, it took us a day to find this out but then we were connected with a very fast router.

Great villa, great location
As a family with 2 small children we had a wonderful stay at Villa Persephone. The villa is clean, spacious and well-equipped. The covered terrace is ideal for outdoor dining and pine trees provide plenty of shade in the garden. The pool was nice and clean and the outdoor shower ideal for rinsing off on return from the beach.
The villa is a short drive from the aiport and is set in a lovely quiet residential street yet is still an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. The beach in Binibeca is great, especially for small children.
Diana was very helpful in answering our questions ahead of our visit as well as arranging extra things such as a cot. Thanks Diana!
We would definitely recommend this villa to a family looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay in an excellent little resort. We would love to return in the future!

Great villa in great location
We had a fantastic two week stay in Villa Persephone this September. It is conveniently located, with a 15 minute walk from a beautiful beach with a great beach bar which we visited most days (the beach is perfect for young children as the sea is very shallow). The villa is also close to some great restaurants and shops with everything you need. Mayo which is lots of fun is a short drive. It also has a great fish market open most days. The villa is spacious and clean and the veranda is perfect for a barbecue. The large garden and clean pool mean that if you don't want to go to the beach or drive anyway you can spend a day in the villa and totally relax. If you are looking for a family villa close to the beach, close to great food and with access to a bit of nightlife we'd highly recommend this villa. It helped make a fantastic holiday!

Beautiful villa in perfect location
We had the most relaxed holiday in Villa Persephone. What a beautiful villa and gardens. The setting in perfect, pine trees surrounding the property provide wonderful shade and the scent of the pine in the warm air is an instant stress buster. The villa itself is a great layout, plenty of space for 8 people to have comfort and privacy. The style of the villa is classic with lots of natural light and a neutral finish which blends beautiful with the surroundings. The property was spotless and very well equipt which made settling in easy. The directions to the property and all the information needed to make the stay hassle free, were easy to follow and very user friendly. The beds were comfortable, the showers hot and powerful, and the kitchen was well supplied. The garden and swimming pool were an absolute joy, we had to really force ourselves to get out and about. But it was well worth the effort. The local village, just a 10 min walk has a lovely bakery and number of small and very laid back restaurants. It didn't feel touristy at all, just very chilled out. We hired a car which was great as driving around is so easy. But a stay without a car would be feasible too. Diana, the owner, could not have more accommodating. We had family staying elsewhere who came to visit us in the villa and said that they had never seen us all so relaxed! We only went for a week this year, aiming to book for 2 next year. I have 2 teenage children and they can't wait to go back, absolute sanctuary!

Nice Villa, but not Luxury
We stayed at the Villa at the end of August. The location is brilliant, middle of nowhere with the only sound being the birds and the wind - you really do need a car if you are going to explore the island. We did not hire a car and chose to walk in and out of town and used the buses when needed (so cheap!) - if you do this i strongly recommend packing a torch to walk up the very steep unlit steps on the way back. The supermarket in Cala Torret delivers, and if you are lucky you will get a lift back with the shopping. The Villa itself is set in mature grounds - we found the villa not as luxury has we had expected. The pool area had obviously not been cleaned prior to our arrival as there were crumbs and a good coating of Pine Needles around and in the pool (the villa is surrounded by pine trees that keep you private). There is no proper functioning roof top terrace, as stated in the overview, there are steps at the side of the villa that led up to a loft entrance and the air conditioning unit there is no room for chairs and table. There were a number of things that were not up to standard, the BBQ was rusted and any coals lite in it would have fallen out of the bottom. The lamps in all the bedrooms had burn marks from the bulbs. The middle bathroom leaked from the tap behind the toilet and caused the floor to be slippery – there are 2 other bathrooms to choose from. The bedrooms were dusty and there was a hole in the ceiling in the living area where rain had go in and left a damp stain on the wall. Kind of think the villa is a little less loved towards the end of the season - which is also the most expensive time. Owner was also a little slow in responding to emails and after taking our final payment i had to chase up for confirmation of when keys would be sent. On the whole - Location Great, Villa good but was not luxury as stated

Villa persephone June 2012
We had a lovely holiday at Villa Persephone. The villa was everything we had hoped for, very spacious, clean, lovely mature garden with pool, with plenty of sunny and shady spots. The large terrace was well used, with evenings spent dining, playing games and watching the sunsets. The added bonus of UK sky channels meant we could watch Wimbledon and our favourite tv and radio programmes! The lounge had very comfortable seating, bedrooms all had air con and the kitchen was well equipped.
We were a family of five (3 teenagers). This was our fourth time in Menorca. We have stayed in this area of the island three times, finding it convenient to travel to all our favourite beaches (cal ' en Porter, Cala Mitjana and Santa Thomas) It is also situated only minutes from the airport.
We contacted the villa services twice during our stay (minor things) and found them to be very friendly and prompt in their response. We dined out only twice, once at the local Italian restaurant (Villa Madrid?), the food was fantastic!
The owner Diane was very helpful with any queries we had prior to our holiday.
We would recommend this villa to anyone wanting a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing holiday on this beautiful island.

family holiday
We went to the villa in August , 2 families with teenage children. The villa certainly reached our expectations , in a lovely quiet area but easy walk to the beach and restaurants. We found lots of hidden coves to swim and snorkel all within 20 mins drive, a beautiful part of Minorca.
The villa had 4 good sized bedrooms and included a wonderful shady balcony with table and seating to sit all 7 of us.We all enjoyed the pool which was maintained twice weekly and we would all love to return.

Ideal Holiday Villa
We were a party of four women looking for a quiet relaxing holiday and when we were choosing a villa we were impressed by the advert for Villa Persephone. We were delighted to find that the villa did indeed live up to our expectations, the rooms were all light and airy with four really good sized bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space. The whole villa was furnished to a high standard, very clean and well equipped, the pool was cleaned twice while we were there and the gardener was also in attendance.
There was also a folder containing all information required for your stay e.g. places of interest and any important contacts and phone numbers.
We decided not to hire a car and had no problems with taxis to and from the airport. There was a service bus to Mahon from Binibecca for anyone without a car who wanted a day out. The surrounding area was very pretty and the beach at Binibecca was very clean with shallow waters, ideal for children. We made use of the little tourist train which runs along the road between Binibecca Vell and Punta Prima .
We sampled nearly all the restaurants in the little town and they all provided friendly service and good food especially the fish dishes.
Whether you want a peaceful relaxing holiday or somewhere for a base while seeing the sights on Menorca I can highly recomment this villa.

Super Villa above Cala Torret
This is super villa, located on the hillside above Cala Torret, it is in a very quiet road, about 2 minutes drive from the fabulous Binibeca beach, and a few local restaurants. Inside the villa the bedrooms are super spacious (2 with Kingsize beds), the bathrooms are modern, spacious and there is plenty of hot water, with good water pressure. Most rooms have vaulted ceilings, giving the property a really nice airy feel to them & the air-con works really well. The kitchen, although compact compared to the rest of the property is superbly equipped with just about everything you could want. The living area has a flat screen TV with limited Sky free to view channels, comfy sofa and dining table - There are 2 large French doors leading onto the covered terrace, which in turn overlooks the pool. The gardens are lush and green and very pleasing on the eye, with a high level of privacy. All windows are double glazed and there are shutters on each window. The pool ( in August was gorgeous, not cold at all!) enjoys the sun for the majority of the day.
Whilst on our 10 night stay we saw the pool cleaner & gardener twice, so a very well cared for property.
I would also add that the owners of this property were extremely helpful and accommodating and we would definitely revisit this villa when returning to Menorca.

Going Back For More!
After a number of visits to Menorca and a variety of villas, Villa Persephone is an absolute jewel. A short, easy drive from the airport to a delightful coastal village which takes no more than 20 minutes, and the villa was easily found in a quiet road.
The villa was exceptionally clean and inviting, and all areas well maintained. The bedrooms were simply furnished but wanted for nothing, and the beds very comfortable. The air conditioning was most welcome for half an hour each night at bedtime! The bathrooms were first rate. The kitchen was very well equipped with heaps of hot water 24/7!
Outside, the garden was lovely with shady areas when it got a little too warm, and a beautiful pool which was immaculately clean. The terrace was wonderful with a huge teak table and chairs and I could easily have spent the entire fortnight either on the terrace or in the pool!
The owners left their recommendations for shops, restaurants, beaches, and attractions which were useful and accurate.
We loved every minute of our stay at Villa Persephone, and will definitely be going back for more!

Wonderful villa in a great location
We have visited the villa on a number of occassions and always had an enjoyable and relaxing break. It is fantastically located if you want to be away from tourist hustle and bustle but near enough to walk to a lovely beach, restaurants and shops. The villa itself is clean and spacious with four good sized bedrooms, three of which have doors straight onto the garden and two of which have en suite bathrooms. There is a covered terrace with a lovely big table and a super swimming pool. We would highly recommend the villa to couples and families alike who enjoy having their own space and peace and quiet on holiday. We like it so much we're going again this year!
