The kindest family and the most picturesque home. As a young, female, first-time, solo traveler, I couldn't have felt safer. My husband and I were truly impressed by the generosity and great care we received during our stay! The hotel is extremely clean and the rooms were much larger than other hotels we stayed at in Italy. We had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The walk to town was charming. You can get great food at the local restaurants but the hotel also serves a nice sit down dinner and a continental breakfast. I highly recommend staying at this location. You will truly enjoy your stay!

Great hotel with nice view!

This was our first visit to Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful with a great full breakfast. Room was spacious, staff was friendly & the housekeepers sweet. We had dinner twice in the rooftop dinning room overlooking the bay. The sunset was amazing. The waitstaff friendly , the food five star. We also danced to the music which made it very romantic. The path winding through the cliffs to the small bar and lounge chairs along the water is very unique. Very small wading pool on upper terrace. Classic double room was small and non-descript. Disappointed with the size of balcony and the sea view from room!

The Ara Maris which is referred to as the new hotel was one of my best stays at any hotel in all my travels, which is considerable. The service from all the staff whether it be registration, concierge, dining, pool, cleaning or spa wax consistently top notch. I absolutely love this hotel. Have stayed there several times and wouldn’t think about staying anywhere else. The location is so convenient to the square and right in the middle of al the activity. The rooms are beautiful and breakfast is always delicious. Mario does a wonderful job making sure everyone has anything they want for breakfast.

This hotel was above and beyond... from the second we walked in, the staff ensured we felt like we are on vacation. They assisted us with as many things as possible. Great location less than a block from the main plaza. Our room was right next to the elevator and we never heard a sound. Only a few blocks to the train station and bus stops. Many great restaurants nearby. Best breakfast buffet in our whole 26 days in Italy. Left a jacket and they had it sent to our next hotel on Capri for a minimal charge.

Great staff- friendly, helpful with planning our day and referring us to local places based in what we requested or were looking for. Nice little bar. Great morning breakfast buffet. Nice pool area and patio in front of hotel to enjoy a cocktail. Beautiful views of the ocean. Would definitely stay again.

Staff was excellent and very helpful in pointing us where we needed to be. Common areas were beautiful and breakfast very good. Room was nice with a good bed. Bathroom was small but adequate. Wifi was difficult to use requiring repeated log on and my mail app refused to work with it.

This hotel was one of the best in our month-long trip to Italy. Very comfortable, close to everything - town, ferry, train, but not noisy or crowded area. Great for walking. The staff at the hotel were always helpful and friendly. In addition to great breakfast and view of Mt Vesuvius, the hotel was visitor-friendly with retractable clothesline in the bathtub, much appreciated! Also two pools, one good for laps, which is always nice.
