"Lovely room and lovely hotel, very clean and very quiet. Breakfast was ok apart from the eggs, very strange taste and texture. We also used the pool near reception and I would absolutely stay again. Very friendly staff and lovely facilities!"

"A very good place to live. The location is great at the top of the mountain. The view is very beautiful. The service is excellent. The owner of the hotel is a wonderful and very nice person. I advise everyone to try this excellent hotel and they have cars if you want to rent a car ... Next time if I visit Madeira I will go to the same place"

"The host will pick you up from the airport for €20. He answered all my WhatsApp messages very quickly. You really need a car if you stay here. The staff I met were really friendly. If you book, make sure (before you pay) with the host what actually is the accommodation you pay for. Re-confirm when you book and after you have booked. I found the description incredibly unhelpful."

"On a attendu plus d’une heure à l’aéroport que l’hôte nous récupère. Il nous a fait payé plus cher qu’un taxi... Hébergement spacieux et propre avec une vue magnifique sur piscine, mer et montagne. Un joli jardin très bien entretenu. Séjour agréable, je recommande ce lieu."

"Defiantly the worst property Ive stayed at, I wish it had reviews before I booked as I’m sure they would of agreed with my account of my time there. We killed two cockroaches, had small insects in our belongings, I’d leave the house and find them in my hand bag! The property had a strange smell, stray cats which was heartbreaking as they’d be looking/ begging fofor food. The bathroom in our room had no door, plus the water system didn’t work, so it was either piping hot (enough to make a coffee)...

"Weeks before arriving in Madeira I communicated with the owner, informing him of our arrival time. Days before our arrival I informed him of the time we'd reach the hotel, despite this, when we arrived there was nobody on site to assist us. "We enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel is located right on the ocean and walkable to restaurants and markets. Our room had a fantastic sea view, spacious clean with big walk-in shower and very quiet. Buffet breakfast was satisfactory with plenty of seating. Happy hour in the bar was a nice bonus. Paid parking is recommended as street parking is limited."
