They actually give you earplugs on the table when you arrive so it must be an issue. I needed them. Pool and hot tubs were nice. Location was great.

Absolutely filthy! Black curly hair is on coffee mugs. Mold in the shower. Daughter got a fungus from the hot tub and had to get medical attention for it. No drinkable water on site. Rude staff.

Our stay at the Ocean Pacifc Lodge in Santa Cruz was alright. The room was large and check in was very smooth, even through we were arriving at midnight. The bed was a little stiff for my taste, and our room was across from the pool so it smelled very chlorine-y like the pool in our room which wasn’t ideal. But we did really appreciate the location, and its accessibility to the ocean and pier, as well as the free parking.

Bed bugs. I was given room 106, upon entry there was bleach fumes so I aired it out and was suspicious. Decided to look for signs of bed bugs and found a live bug. Staff told me they have NEVER had them. Plus the bug was full of blood and it got all over my hands, had to message PCP on mychart about that. Rooms are dirty, they are not vacuumed behind beds etc its nasty. Anyway waz given 206, after having to insist on a new room, the guy working there really tried to say this has NEVER happened before. I found one dead one and larvae/babies. Returned to desk, staff then showed me a list of some kind that were treated for this and said they had treated them and begged me to try another room. I asked for a refund and instead he collected from expedia and cancelled my reservation and won’t answer phone. I panicked and didn’t take pics, take a chance if you want. I have zero reason to lie. This ruined my birthday trip. I barely had enough to find new lodging. He was fakely apologetic and lied about helping me get my money back from expedia because he took it. The place needs to be tented. Worse than lice. No breakfast, pools not heated and customer service person essentially lied and took my money.
