Views from the large terrace on Mt Etna and on the sea from the front side are priceless. A car is indispensable. Easy to reach by country roads not far from Messina / Catania autostrada. "The property is typically Sicilian so if you’re expecting contemporary and luxury this is not for you, if you want to feel like you’re in Sicily and experiencing their culture this is fabulous. Beautiful grounds, lots of lovely areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. You do need a car aa there is nowhere to walk to from the villa. "We stayed at villa carlino in the “Esclusivo ” apartment for 3 nights . The grounds were beautiful, the bedrooms / bathrooms were comfortable and all was clean . Unfortunately it rained for 2 days while we were there and we couldn’t enjoy the pool . It would have been nice to have an indoor hang out area ( living room ) where all six of us could fit . The location is great for getting to Etna and Taormina ."

"We had a lovely 10 days in your clean, spacious villa. Perfect for a family of two adults and two teenagers looking to relax and explore the beautiful island of Sicily. We loved the 4x4 tour of etna you organised for us and we explored the local towns and villages. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the food good and inexpensive. "We had a great week! Marinella and Angelo were great hosts and have made this a beautiful space for a family retreat. It was beautiful with the flowers in bloom and the pool was a huge plus for the kids. Close to the highway so you can get to Taormina and Etna quickly, even if the road from the highway to the house is a little loud sometimes. "The house was in a very isolated location so anyone visiting definitely needs to have hired a car. On the plus side it’s very quiet! We enjoyed our stay as the pool area is very spacious and well equipped. The house itself is quite traditional and is made of thick stone. This makes it nice and cool but very dark and space to unpack inside was limited as the owner had locked most cupboards or had their own belongings stored.
